The thunder outside roared into the apartment scaring me a bit. Anthony drunk his third beer while pacing my apartment back and forth sniffing uncontrollably.

"Anthony sit down please...."I mumbled but jump once I heard Anthony slamming the beer bottle on the table.

"Don't fucking talk to me! You was in this Nyx! She told YOU to keep me occupied while she go and figure out if her real baby daddy want to keep her and that baby!!"anthony yelled. "Are you fucking kidding me bruh!"he walked away from me again shaking his head.

"I'm sorry Anthony alright. I just wanted you near me and Nora......"

"For what!!"anthony eyes grew wider with anger. "Nora ass ain't mine Nyx. Stop acting like it!!"

Right when he said that, my heart broke into pieces. I quickly stood up instantly crying running to the bedroom. I laid down in bed crying into the pillow repeating the words he said into my head. As I cried for a while, I felt his hand snake up my back.

"Nyx.....I'm sor...."I cut him off slapping his hand away. I looked at him shaking my head sniffing.

"You don't get it"I sniffle.

"Get what Nyx. I get that jasmine baby ain't mines..."

"But Nora is"I blurted out. "She's your child but I never wanted to tell you"I cried.

"Nyx..."Anthony sigh heavily closing his eyes. "Why you never told me? I could of been in Nora's life knowing I was her father. This whole time I thought Nora was for someone else who didn't care about her but honestly this whole time she was mine"

I covered my face shaking my head sniffing. "I'm sorry Anthony"—"I'm truly sorry"I kept saying as I felt him rising up from the bed walking out my room. I can hear the keys jiggling and the front door shut.

I cried even more knowing the only man I loved walked out my life for good all because I lied to him. I helped his wife hide her darkest secret.I should of been a woman about it and left jasmine alone.

I hop up from my bed walking to the living room. I sat on the couch turning the tv on. My phone in the room ding twice which mean somebody texted me. I got up walking back to my room grabbing the phone. The text messages was from Lia saying Nora missed me.

I stop and thought about what would of been best for Nora. Nora need her father in her life. But when I look back at all the memories that Nora and Anthony shared, I felt like I didn't have to tell Anthony anything. He should of known Nora was his.

But I still should of told him. No kept secrets.
