The next morning was all a blurred to me. Lia called me three times I guess to see how my date with Anthony went. I need to tell her everything that happened. I need someone to talk to.

I grab my keys to the Range Rover that Anthony bought me and my phone. I slip on my maw maw flip flops and made my way out the apartment. I unlock my car door hoping in starting it up.

No new messages from Anthony. My heart ache not seeing his love poems. This what happens when you lose a good ass man.

Later (𝐋𝐢𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞)

I knocked on Lia door waiting on her to answer. But of course her baby daddy answered the door. His fat funky ass. "Wassup ny..."

"It's Nyx. I already know you gone get it wrong"I rolled my eyes pushing him out the way. He smacked his lips closing the door. "Nora! Lia!"I called out.

"Girl finally you here! I really gotta talk to you"the look on Lia face telling me that something happened. What the fuck is going on?

"Lia, where's Nora? She's sleep?"i ask Lia. Lia sigh heavily looking at her baby daddy.

"Why you looking at him?! What the fuck happened?! Where's Nora?!"I yelled out.

"Ummm Anthony came here and picked her up. He said you was cool with it but seeing you here tells me you didn't know"Lia played with her nails. "Nyx I didn't know. Do we have to call the police? File a amber alert?"

"No. Ima look for her"i head back outside to my car so I can call Anthony to see where my child at. I dialed his number and waited for him to answer. My leg bounced up and down waiting for him to say.... We're

"Hello?"i breathe out some air relieve that he answered.

"A-Anthony, where are you?"i ask rubbing my eyes feeling the tears running down my cheek.

"Ima send you the location" and just like that he hung up. I sigh heavily waiting for his text so I can meet him.

Once I receive the text, I made my way to where he was at. I kept thinking about what he was gonna say? what he's going to do? Do he wanna take care of Nora? Is he and jasmine still together?

I finally made it to the kids park seeing Nora running around with other kids while laughing and enjoying her time. I smiled seeing her living her life as a normal child with her father near by.

I hope out the car making my way to Anthony. "Mommy!"nora ran up to me making Anthony look up at me a bit. "Mommy I twiss you"

"I miss you too"I kissed her cheek. "Why you took her here?"i ask Anthony.

"Nora go back and play with your friends. Let me and mommy talk"I put Nora down and watch her run off back to the swing set. I sat down next to Anthony but making sure to give him his space.

"Why?"I looked at him. "You could of called me and told me that you was taking Nora to the park. You had me scared when I went to Lia's house not seeing my daughter there"

"Sorry if I scared you but now you see how I feel. Upset that you didn't tell me. I could of been there with you your whole entire pregnancy"—"But I wasn't...."

"But you're here now. I just didn't want that drama in my life when I was pregnant with Nora. I couldn't do it Anthony"I wiped my tears from my face.

"I understand that, I understand you didn't want to come face to face with jasmine and her bullshit around that time, plus I probably would of kept it a secret from her if I there. But still Nyx, still. She's my fucking kid man and you didn't tell me"

"I'm sorry Anthony for the 100th times"I looked at Nora who was waving at me and smiling. "You know I remember one day Nora was going to bed and she ask me, 'momma is Anthony my dad' and I couldn't tell her cause I didn't want her to run up to you and tell my secret but I should of"

"Tell her now"Anthony said looking at me. I sigh closing my eyes for a bit. "Nora!"anthony called her over. She ran to us all out of breath and being dramatic. Just like her momma. "Tired?"anthony ask her while fixing her shoes.

"Yes"she nodded her head and sat in between us. "I want twater"she tried to reach in my bag looking for some water.

"No I don't have water"I closed my purse up. "Now did you have fun?"i smiled.

"Yes"she nodded again.

"Mm well momma have something to tell you"anthony said. I rubbed my face a bit scared to tell her. I don't know what Nora reaction might be. What if she hates me? She been asking for her father for the longest and I always tell her, I don't know where he at.

"Nora....."—"You remember you kept asking me where your dad is?"I started off.

"Yes, twhere is dad?"her little doe eyes stared at me waiting for my answer.

"Wellll, Anthony really is your dad"I said. Nora looked at Anthony and then back at me like are you sure.

Anthony looked at Nora and then back at me. "What you thinking about kiddo?"anthony ask her.

"Daddy?"she gave him a confused look.

"Yes I'm your dad. Mommy was scared to tell us"Anthony said. Nora stared at the play-set for a bit then jump up hugging Anthony.

"I twalready knew"Nora smiled.

"Awww norri"I smiled so hard and sniffle.

Nora and Anthony hugged it out. She laid her head on Ant shoulder watching the birds fly around, kids screaming while playing and the breeze blowing through our hair.
