Ellie's POV

"Foolish you were. Wrong to follow the assassin, you were." Yoda rebuked me.

Of course, I was in hot water since I disobey my master and went after the assassin. But I have no problem with it since I want the assassin caught but it backfired.

"I saw my chance as Senator Amidala's protector and took it. I am a Jedi and more than capable of protecting her and myself when it comes down to it." I responded.

"Ellie, my young Padawan, you must understand." Master Windu stated. "You are the Butterfly of the Force as well as the Jedi Senator, a very important position to us and the Senate. We cannot have and do want you to die anytime soon. You must listen and obey our orders. It is to protect you."

I sighed before asking, "What is the plan now?"

"We want you to go back to Naboo with Senator Amidala, you will be safer there." Ki-Adi Munid informed me.

"Of course, we will have someone escort you two back." Master Windu added.

"Although I deeply respect you all and your decisions, I have to refuse. We have the vote coming up and Senator Amidala and I were one of the leaders in this. We cannot leave at a time like this." I argued while remain calm.

"Must you have to." Yoda spoke as I shook my head.

"I'm sorry, but I'm staying. Unless I'm order to leave and I think she would say the same, we have to stay and as far as we know we are needed for this vote to happen. It's our duty as Senators. And right now, I am more of a Senator than a Jedi. Therefore, I need to put my Senator duties before my Jedi duties, which I must add that I am not even being trained at the moment. At the end, I have to do what is best for the people I represent. Even if my life is on the line right now, I will do what is right." I argued.

"Now if you will excuse me." I said before leaving the Council room.

THIRD PERSON POV

Master Windu and Master Yoda looked at each other and knew Ellie would pull a stunt like that. She would put everyone's lives before hers and not listening to their judgement and orders. That's why they came up with a plan.

And that's when Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Qui-Gon stood in the middle of the Council. Anakin and Obi-Wan felt Ellie's irritation after her meeting. They have been worried about her as she was pissed off, letting off projections that she can protect herself.

"Track down this bounty hunter you must, Qui-Gon." Yoda spoke.

"Most importantly, you and Obi-Wan must find out who he's working for." Windu added.

"What about Padawan Eliza and Senator Amidala? They will still need protecting." Qui-Gon asked, clearly still concerned for both girls.

"Handle that, your joint Padawan will." Yoda spoke, pointing at Anakin.

Anakin quickly look up at Yoda as he spoke, silently thanking the Force for allowing him to stay with Ellie while Obi-Wan cursed the Force for not being able to protect Ellie.

"Anakin. Escort my Padawan and Senator Amidala back to her home planet of Naboo. They will be safer there. And don't use registered transport. Travel as refugees." Windu spoke.

And that's when all of them realized why Ellie is irritated because of the voting was coming up and she is greatly needed there. "As one of the leaders of the opposition, it will be very difficult to get Jedi Senator Cullen and Senator Amidala to leave the capital." Anakin pointed out.

"Until caught this killer is, our judgement they must respect." Yoda said as he placed both hands on his cane, thinking back what Ellie said earlier.

"Anakin, go to the Senate and ask Chancellor Palpatine to speak with them about this matter." Windu said, ending the meeting.

TIME SKIP

"I will talk with them. Jedi Senator Cullen and Senator Amidala will not refuse an executive order." Chancellor Palpatine said to Anakin. "I know them well enough to assure you of that."

"Thank you, Your Excellency." Anakin said with a small smile.

"And so, they've finally given you an assignment. You've also finally been reunited with the Butterfly, your other half of the prophecy." Chancellor Palpatine pointed as Anakin nodded his head. "Your patience has paid off."

"Your guidance more than my patience." Anakin corrected.

"You don't need guidance, Anakin." Palpatine said as he walked away from the window. "In time, you will learn to trust your feelings. Then, you'll be invincible. As I have said many times, You and Eliza are the most gifted Jedi I have ever met. I see you both becoming the greatest of all Jedi, Anakin. Even more powerful than Master Yoda."

MEANWHILE

"He is not ready to be given this assignment on his own yet." Obi-Wan broke the silence, worried about Anakin.

"The council is confident in its decision, Obi-Wan." Yoda reassured.

"The boy has exceptional skills." Windu complimented.

"But he still has much to learn, Master." Obi-Wan sighed. "His abilities have made him, well, arrogant."

The four Jedi stopped walking and forming a circle around each other as they continued to talk.

"Yes, yes." Yoda agreed. "A flaw more and more common among Jedi. Hmm. Too sure of themselves they are. Even the older, more experienced ones."

"Ellie is different from all of us." Qui-Gon spoke as he faced Windu. "You have trained her well enough to know her abilities are extraordinary, beyond any Jedi in the Force. She is the Goddess of the Force. You can feel it just being in her presence. She is not arrogant either."

"I know, Qui-Gon." Windu said. "While she is not arrogant, she lacks knowing when it's time to put herself first instead of putting us first. She is very, very selfless and focused on her duties as the Jedi Senator that she forgets to take care of herself. Ellie is an ambitious young woman and that seems to be her major flaw."

"Yes." Yoda agreed. "Always putting others and her duties before herself, Eliza has. Ever since she began her training. Clouds her ability to know when to take care of herself it does."

"It is how I knew the meeting with her would go the way it did." Windu added.

"I fear Anakin may be somewhat of a bad influence on Ellie." Obi-Wan spoke as he slightly shook his head, hiding his jealousy perfectly. "It is wise to let them go alone on this alone? They are still Padawans after all."

"Or Eliza could be a good influence on Anakin." Windu reasoned while Qui-Gon has his eyebrow raised. "Remember, Obi-Wan, if the prophecies are true, Anakin and Eliza are the only ones who can bring the Force back into balance. With your guidance in this, yes, but we cannot keep them apart any longer, they will eventually serve side by side and act as one when the time is right."
