Sakura: Sasuke... Your body... Those marks...
Sasuke: It's okay, I feel power overflowing from within me... I feel great. He gave it to me...
Sakura's eyes widen a little, surprised.
Sakura: Huh?
Sasuke: I finally understand it... I am an avenger... Even if I must eat the fruits of evil, I am on a path where I must gain power...
From the nearby tree, Y/n narrows his eyes at the Uchiha.
Sasuke turns to the Sound Ninja.
Sasuke: So, it was you guys, right?
Shikamaru: Ino, this is bad! You'll get caught up! Return to your body!
Y/n stands and leaps away, deciding that Sasuke could handle the situation. After a few minutes, Y/n finds his teammates and jumps down from a tree to greet them. However, he ended up making Kiba jump.
Kiba: Huh?! O-oh, it's you! You almost gave me a heart attack!
Y/n: ... That'd be unfortunate.
Hinata: Y-Y/n, we got a Heaven Scroll! We can advance to the finals!
Y/n: Oh, yeah? How'd that happen?
Hinata: We... Found it lying around... There were a couple of bodies nearby, it must have been theirs...
She looks down, but looks back up when she feels Y/n's hand on her shoulder.
Y/n: It'll be okay, Hinata. Let's go to the tower.
Shino: Wait... Where did you go?
Y/n: Places.
Shino: Oh.

As they near the tower, Y/n notices something strange.
Y/n: You three go ahead, I'll follow behind.
Hinata: Y-Y/n...
Kiba: You heard the man, let's go.
He takes Hinata's hand and leads her along.
Y/n: Kabuto, come on out.
Kabuto drops out of a nearby tree and smirks.
Kabuto: How fascinating, you were able to find me.
Y/n: Don't play dumb. Why were you following us?
Kabuto: Whatever do you me-
Y/n: You've been tailing us for half an hour, it was no mistake or coincidence. You were following us. Why?
Kabuto: Perceptive... I wasn't after your teammates, or your little girlfriend. I was after you.
Y/n raises a brow at that.
Kabuto: To study you, of course.
Y/n's eyes narrow and he pulls out a kunai.
Y/n: Fuck off. Only warning.
Kabuto: So cold...
He draws a kunai as well and throws it at the demon, who catches it with ease. Kabuto then lunges at him with a short sword, cutting the demon's cheek.
Kabuto: What valuable data...! Ta-ta!
Y/n: Where are you going?!
Kabuto doesn't respond, instead he runs away.
