Third person POV
A small ANBU team was sent out on the Hokage's orders to investigate supposed demonic activity, but when they arrived at their destination, they found only the outskirts of a small, abandoned village.
ANBU 1: What in Hell? The Hokage sent us on a wild goose chase!
ANBU 2: You saw the report, it was genuine. Now shut up and look around, we have no idea if the presence is still here.
ANBU 1: Tch... Yeah, you're right.
They and the rest of the ANBU begin searching, when one of them, their newest recruit, finds a baby.
ANBU 1: This damn kid... Is the only thing here!
ANBU 2: Let's head back, we must have missed the demon.
Another teammate speaks up.
ANBU 3: Woah, lookit that jewel! I ain't ever seen something like that.
ANBU 1: Let's take it back, we can get rich off that thing.
He reaches for the jewel, but the baby growls and bites his index finger and rips it off, making the ninja yell out in pain and surprise.
ANBU 1: What the...?! My finger...! You little bastard! You bit my finger off...!
ANBU 2: This... Is the demon...
ANBU 3: Let's just kill the damn brat!
The newcomer shakes her head.
Newcomer: No! He's just a baby!
The baby cackles at the situation.
Newcomer: Let's take him back.
ANBU 1: No way! That thing is rabid!
He holds his stub of a finger and snarls.
ANBU 2: For once... I think he has a point.
Newcomer: Please, please! He's only a baby, we can't leave him!
The other ANBU ponder before they speak up.
ANBU 2: He could easily be trained into a fantastic ANBU...
ANBU 3: Yeah, that little bastard has brutality already down pat.
ANBU 1: I guess...
The newcomer smiles and thanks them, lifting the baby over her head and grinning at him.

The Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, taps his head with his index finger in thought.
Lord Third: You mean to say... That this baby is the source of the demonic activity?
The ANBU team nods and the newcomer continues bouncing the baby in her arms.
Lord Third: Then, you know that I would be putting our village in danger by fostering him, yes?
Newcomer: Lord Third, with all due respect, this " demon " is a baby!
Lord Third sighs and shakes his head.
Lord Third: I was not finished. Despite the fact that this may well be an actual demon, he is, indeed, a baby... But, I don't want to leave him to just anyone. Would you take the job, Michelle?
The newcomer, Michelle, nods and bows.
Michelle: Thank you, Lord Third!
Lord Third: Does he have a name?
The ANBU shake their head.
ANBU 1: I almost wanna call him Nibbler.
Another teammate snickers, but goes silent when Lord Third raises his hand for silence.
