(Jamila's P.O.V.)
I'm awoken by a loud gunshot. Thankfully it's not soldiers, it's only Dad.
I stand to see what he's shooting at to see half a dozen of infected. I cuss as I grab a gun from my bag. Standing along side my Dad I shoot dead two trackers.
"Thanks love."
"That's alright, how did you find out they were there?" I ask.
"I was lying awake, thinking, and then they were really irritated by something so I thought it would be a better idea to shoot them."
"Thinking? Thinking about what?"
"The baby."
"Yeah, that's just horrible timing, but, I'm going to have a baby brother or sister!" I half scream, half whisper.
"Yeah," he says wrapping his arm around my shoulders slightly squeezing me. "Why don't you go back to sleep? It's only four-thirty."
"Yeah, okay."
I lay back down next to Trevor, and cuddle up into him. He slightly stirs awake, wraps his arms around me and he falls back asleep. I fall asleep in a matter of minutes as well.

An all too familiar sound wakens me this morning. A sound I haven't heard in close to a month, birds chirping.
I stretch in the weird way I do, half pulling my arms from their sockets, and screaming as loudly as I need.
This wakes the others. Trevor's eyes flutter open, and smiles realizing it was me that woke him. He wraps his arms around me pulling me down to cuddle him.
We lay there talking for a bit, because the rest of them went back to sleep after I woke them.

"No! Why?! Why us?!" Dad yells in his sleep.
He must be having a bad dream so I rush over to him and shake him awake.
"Dad? Dad?" I whisper.
He starts stirring, "oh, was I sleep talking?"
"Yeah, had a bad dream?"
"Nirvana had her baby, it came out a clicker and it attacked Nirvana and she turned in two seconds. I had to shoot the both of them."
"Oh, Dad I'm sorry. But back to reality, we should get going."
"As soon as Paisley and Nirvana wake up."
"Yeah."
I run to where Paisley was sleeping alone and jumped right on top of her.
"Wake up!" I yell, which accidentally wakes Nirvana as well.
"Thanks Jamila," Nirvana says in a sleepy voice.
"Sorry, I was only trying to wake Paisley up."
"And you certainly did that, thanks a bunch," Paisley says in a sarcastic tone.
"I'm not sorry about that bit," I stick my tongue out at her playfully.
"Well we should get going then," Dad says and we collect our things. We will eat as we go.

Dad said we are in Painesville, I've never heard of it before, but I just go along with it.
We stop to have a little bit of lunch and we we're going through forest anyway.
We sit all together and I eat a packet of chips and half a bottle of water.
After a bit of food we start talking and loading our guns.
"Is this happening in other countries?" I query.
"I don't know, probably not," Dad answers.
"So we're alone?"
"No we're not alone, Jamila. Why do you keep saying that?" Trevor answers.
"Well, we've hardly come across any other people."
"That doesn't mean that we are alone, babe."
"It seems like it."
"Oh, honey, don't be like that. We are here for you, we would never leave you alone." He says enveloping me in a bear hug.
I hug him back.
Home. Home is all I can think of. Before all if this happened it was like all of my dreams had come true. I had just been asked out by Trevor Moran and we were downstairs watching a movie with him and Connor Franta. And now, Connor doesn't exist, and I still haven't been on that date.
"Jamila?" Trevor snaps me out of my thoughts.
"What?" I ask. "Oh, I was just thinking."
"Thinking? Thinking about what?"
"It doesn't matter, shouldn't we get going?"
Dad looks at me as though I'm crazy, but he answers, "yeah, let's go then."
We stand up all at once and haul our bags onto our backs.
We walk for about an hour when we come across a set of train tracks. We decide to follow them, but from about five meters away.
After a kilometer of following the tracks from afar we come across a large valley. Thankfully the train tracks carry over a bridge.
I lead at the front going single file.
"Hey, Mila! Got your camera? I want to take a Tumblr. ish picture." Paisley yells from behind me.
"Yep, hold on," I say stopping in front of everyone.
I kneel down on the bridge, searching through my bag for my camera. Once I find it I pass it back to Paisley.
"Okay, now sit over the edge with your legs dangling over the side and look out," I do as she says. "Oh, and put your hood up and your hands in your pockets."
I pose in this position and she takes the picture.
Since I'm sort of scared of falling off the bridge I get up to view my picture.
"Oh my god, this does look Tumblr.y!" I admire.
"I know right, aren't you going to thank me?"
"Nah," I say kissing her cheek.
We carry on to the other side of the bridge into the forest.
The goal is to get to Pennsylvania by nightfall. It's a long walk but we carry on for about another 3 kilometers before we give up and find a place to rest.
