Two months later

We had a funeral for my dad a month ago and I couldn't pay the rent by myself. I had four overdue bills and the owner of the apartments says that if I get five that I will get kicked out. I stared at my baby Raina who turned three yesterday and started walking.

"Mama." She said while holding a bill. "Waz this?"

I take it out her hand. "A bill." I get up and walk to the door when I hear a knock. I see Parker but I decide to not be mean to him, I needed some ones help, any ones help.

"Come in." I say and he sits on the couch. I lock and close the door. "So what brought you over here?" I asked.

"I just wanted to see your beautiful face and I'm sorry that your father died but that was two months ago. You need to get over it, he was going to die one day anyway."

I ball my fist. "Who gives you the right to tell me to get over it? The only thing I need to get over is your stupid ass and I already did!" I yell.

He laughed. "Did you really get over me or is your mind just telling you that?"

"I did, your a jerk and you need to get out of my property now."

"Okay." He stands up and walks to the door then turns around. "But I think you need this." He digs in his pocket and throws a chunk of money on the ground. "Its 4k by the way." He left out the door and I watch out the window as he drives away in his car.

With 4k I could pay the bills and feed Raina. I smile and get dressed. I pay the bills, go to the store and feed Raina and buy new shoes.

I put Raina to sleep and take a shower. I eat some chicken ceaser salad then sleep only to be woke up by my phone going off. "Hello?" I say sleepily.

"I see you enjoyed that money, Hazel." I could tell it was Parker's voice.

"Yeah thanks."

"You welcome." He paused. "I would love to take you out tomorrow for dinner, what do you say?"

"Um, sure?"

"Okay, I'll see you there." Then he hung up.
