Quote of the day: "I know I may be fat and ugly and I know that you hate me but your boyfriend like me."

Hazel

I got home and started beaming with joy. My dad saw me and smiled. "Did you get the job?" He asked, already knowing my answer since I wasn't crying.

"Yeah. Did the Patriots win?" I asked and he sighed.

"Nope. They lost again. But they are still better than any other team. All I want to do is go see them play in a stadium before I die." I hug him.

"It will happen one day. Anyway, how's Raina?" I asked and he smiled.

"My grand baby loved it when I took her to the park today. She didn't know what a swing or slide was until today. You need to take her out more while you have her." He smiled. "I cooked dinner and already fed her. I'm going to sleep, don't forget to lock the door."

"I won't, goodnight."

------The next day-------
I parked in the parking lot and walked to the big glass double doors. I didn't remember these from yesterday but oh well.
Parker greeted me by the doors and he smiled. "Good morning. You ready for your first day on the job?"

"Yeah, thank you so much for letting me have this job."

"No problem. We need more people like you at this job. Our sales will go up if people saw you on a cover."

People like me? I wondered but smiled as I nodded.

I couldn't stop thanking him for letting me have this job.

On our long way to the third floor because everybody was crowded on the second floor we talked about our futures.

He said he wanted to be married to a beautiful lady and have tons of kids and explore distant islands. All the time through I could only think about the first part.

How he wanted to marry someone beautiful. I guess that someone wasn't going to be me.

We finally reach his office room and he walks me in like a gentlemen.
He pulls out a nice comfy torquise chair for me that matched everything else in the room. I swear that this guy loved torquise.

He hands me a glass full of vodka then he pours himself one. He closes the curtain to set the mood even though I didn't want no mood to be set.

He sits on the side of his desk and eyes me up and down. "Did you just bring me up here to have sex with me or something?" I asked. He didn't answer because all he did was laugh and show those perfect white teeth and perfect dimples.

"I never got your name. What is it?" He asked while drinking his vodka. I simply put my full vodka glass on the table next to me then smile politely.

"My name is Hazel." He smiled and murmured something under his breath.

"Were you related to a women named Afra?" My eyes light up as he spoke the name of my dead mom. I shake my head yes then looked down as tears started to build up in my eyes.

"You look just like her." He says. "Two very beautiful women." He drinks more of his vodka like he didn't notice the tear going down my face.

Talking about my dead mother seemed to hurt me this time and I didn't know why.

Usually I would just shrug it off but I couldn't.

I immediately stand up and walk to the door.

"Where are you going, Hazel?" He asked me. I wipe away my tears and sit back down because I can't miss this job. I needed it.
Isn't there a job I should be doing?" I stare while my throat goes dry. I chug down the vodka. My throat burns just a little bit but I didn't mind.  "May I have some more?" I asked.

He smiled and handed me the whole bottle. "Enjoy yourself." He says and leans back, looking at me with a smile on his face. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

All that day we talked about our futures and our dreams and everytime he would wink at me or even smile wide at my comments.

I think i'm in love with this guy. Or at least his personality. It's hard to say that so soon.

"Well it is getting late." I say while grabbing my purse. "I should go." I walk to the door.

"Goodnight beautiful." He says.

"Goodnight." I say as my cheeks blush. I been there for at least four hours, just talking.
