"You have to be kidding me!"

"Hazel, please come to my office." Parker's voice booms through out the office cubicles. I sigh and get up while putting my purse into a drawer and carrying my phone in my hand. I go up to his office and see him staring at me with dead beat eyes. 

He smiled and motioned for me to sit down. I sit down and he closes the door. 

"Yes?" I asked while staring around. He sure did change his office, now I can spot pictures of me and other females that worked here. Creepy...

"Well...let's just say that a little birdy told me that you were going somewhere with someone tonight." He said with a raised eyebrow while drinking some water or was it vodka?

"Yeah, actually I am." I say. 

"Too bad because your working overtime." He said. 

I sit there shocked until my expression turns angry. "You can't do that!" I yell. 

He smiles evily. "Oh yes I can now your going to stay and work overtime unless you want to be fired and have to take care of that baby alone." 

I ball my fist. "Why do you do this?!" I yell. 

"Because I love you." 

"You have to be kidding me!" I walk out of his office and bump into Jake. 

"Hey Hazel." He said with a smile. 

"I can't go tonight sorry." 

He slightly frowned. "Why?" 

"Because I have to work overtime." I said. 

"Well isn't that a miracle because I had to reschedule too, we were going tomorrow." 

I smile. "So your working overtime too?" I asked. 

"Yeah, can't wait to see you there." He said. 

I smile wider. "Yeah well bye." 

"Bye." 

I do a happy dance while I walk over to my cubicle. 

My phone starts to ring and I pick up. "Hello?" I asked. 

"Is this Hazel." The person on the other end asked. 

"Yeah, why?" I asked. 

"Because your apartment was lit in a fire and.." 

"Is my baby okay?!" I asked. 

"Yes ma'am but your father...he passed." 

I burst into tears.
