Break-Time

When we finally made it to the end I could tell we were both exhausted by the way we were trying to hold each-other up. If one of us fell down, the other would to. We slowly hobbled over to where the teams that had finished the first course were standing, taking a quick 5-minute break before the next course was set up.

Through the crowd I could see Ty handing Tyler a bottle of water. I acted as soon as I saw them, and began walking faster towards them. Completely forgetting that Kyle was still tied to me.

"Whoa whoa Adam! Where are we-Tyler!" As soon as he saw him, he started rushing just as fast as I was. I laughed in my mind. As much as we had now become friends, we still couldn't resist seeing our best friends. Or- I think Ty is....maybe I think of him as-no, t-that's ridiculous. Friends. Best friends.

"Kyyyle!!" Brotato yelled out in a derpy voice, I started laughing again. As Tyler began to push through the crowd to make it to Kyle, I noticed that Ty had already untied himself from Brotato at the start of the break, so I started to do the same with Kyle. As soon as did, Tyler had made it over to us and pulled Kyle into a huge hug. Hm, Those two are really friendly...maybe- No Adam, not everyone here is like you, and is okay with being bisexual. But then again, this is a prison...so maybe they-. I stopped my train of thought before it could go any further. If I asked them that, it might make things completely awkward between all of us. And that was the last thing I wanted.

As I was spacing out I noticed I was unwillingly staring at Ty the whole time. I quickly turned away and felt my face turn bright red. Oh I hate when that happens! I turned back to see if he was still looking away, but made direct eye contact with him instead. We held it for awhile, then he let out a smile and started walking my way. Oh man, uh uh, did I weird him out or something? Calm Adam-calm.

"H-hey Ty! I was just about to walk over there." That is if I could have got my face back to it's normal color instead of a tomato's.

"No problem Adam, I noticed you were staring at me anyways." He gave a slight wink and started laughing.

"Pssh, oh that! t-that was nothing! I-i mean I wasn't staring, more like, well ya know.."

I felt him pat me on the back as he moved closer. "That's alright Adam, I get it. I was just messing around." He started smiling again. I could feel my heart start beating faster now. I tried to steady it quickly so he couldn't hear it, because I knew it wasn't real. These emotions I feel. Could I think of Ty as- or, could he think of me as- no, h-he was just joking. I wish he wasn't joking. That he was actually mine. That we could be-more.

"Man Adam, you really have a talent for spacing out." He waved his hand in front of my face.

"Huh? oh yeah, I guess I just have a lot on my mind sometimes."

"Well, that's good, at least you've got something up there." He got closer to my ear and whispered, "Most people here don't."

We both starting laughing at that. I could feel my nerves relax again. Whenever I was around Ty, I seemed to feel a lot better than when I wasn't.

"By the way, that was some nice strategy out there Adam!" Ty started gesturing towards the hurdles.

"Oh yeah that."I chuckled now. "Well, I couldn't have finished it without Kyle."

Ty gave me a big smile, "Ah-hah see! I told you he was a good guy!"

I gave Ty a 'whatever' type of look, and he started laughing again. When he stopped he got a bit more serious.

"Yeah that was pretty impressive, but I mean before that. Mind telling me how you figured it out?" He pointed towards the course.

I smiled, "So, you could feel them too?" I should have know. Ty and Brotato were way to skilled to not know when those hurdles were coming out of the concrete.

"Weeeell...Yeah. But I have to admit, it takes sharp senses to feel those hurdles, I applaud you." Ty started a slow clap, but then ended and started chuckling again.

"I have to give you some credit to! You were jumping those things like they were nothing!" I imitated the way Ty was jumping around the course. He started full-out laughing this time.

"I don't look like that!"

"Yeah-huh!"

I stumbled down on a wall next to Ty and laughed with him for awhile. As we calmed down a bit Ty started stretching his arms out beside me.

"You know Adam, you're a real funny guy." He smiled as he put both his arms behind his head and turned to look at me. I could clearly see his emerald eyes again.

"Wow....T-thank's Ty" I felt my head turn down to hide my face. I couldn't help it. Whether these feelings were real or not, a blush is a blush. I could hear him sigh next to me as he let his arms down to the floor. I felt a slight breeze on my hand and looked down to see that Ty's hand had landed only inches away from mine. I could feel my heart rate rising again. Should I?

I took the risk. I looked up at Ty once more to see that he had his eyes closed now, and his head was relaxing back on the wall. I turned back down to both of our hands, and began to take action with mine. Inch by inch I started shortening the distance between our two hands, until I could feel his skin. I took a breath. I-I'm sure he wouldn't mind... I started lifting my hand until it was directly over his. I slowly began the decline onto his hand. Slowly-slowly..

"Ya know."

I quickly pulled my hand away from Ty's and started nervously scratching my head, thinking I had been caught. But when I looked over at Ty, he still had his head on the wall, but his eyes were open now. He began to speak again.

"The sky...looks really beautiful today."

I could feel my face get a bit warmer, "Wait a second..the sky sky-right? Like up in the air?" I asked just in case.

With this he stood up again, and held out a hand to help me up as well.

"Mmm, I'll let you decide that one for yourself." He grinned directly at me now. When we were both up, he began to walk back to tell Kyle and Tyler we only had a minute left. Before he walked off, I felt I had to know. I grabbed the bottom of his t-shirt before he went off.

"Wait...Ty-"

"WHOOP WHOOOP!!! HELLOOOOO EVERYBODY!! HOW WAS THAT FIRST CHALLENGE!? CAUSE IT WAS FAN-TASTIC FOR ME! AND MY ENTERTAINMENT!!ONE MINUTE WARNING, SO BUCKLE YOURSELVES BACK UP AND GEEEET READY TO GO!!" The warden had to decide now to start yelling at us again.

Ty started to walk off again, "Sorry Adam, we'll talk later ok?"

I nodded my head as he walked toward Tyler again. Kyle began to walk over to me.

"Jeez that guy's got a loud mouth on him" Kyle said as he rubbed his ears.

"You have no idea."

I grabbed the belt off of the ground where I left it, and me and Kyle prepared ourselves. I tied the belt around us again. I turned around to see Ty doing the same with Tyler. I smiled as I saw them fist bump and get ready to go.

"Shall we do this Sir Kyle?" I changed my voice to sound more royal.

He laughed slightly and changed his voice as well. "Well as long as you're ready Sir Adam!"

We both laughed a bit more before we turned to walk to the next courses starting line.

Soo, the next chapter's games are gonna be with A BIIT less detail, but only because this isn't called "Skylox and the fields!" Right! Wrong! I gotta get back to prison soon enough x3 But the final game will be....SUSPENSEFUL-hopefully.
