SPACE OUT

Sky's POV

 "Please! You have to let me see him!" I stood outside the healthcare unit of the prison, begging for entrance to Ty's room. It had been a full 24 hours now since the..incident. I had been with him the whole way after. When the paramedics arrived. When I persuaded my way to walk with him all the way to the other side of the prison. When they told me..he wasn't going to make it.

   "I won't believe it! TY! TY!" I started yelling now. The head nurses calling security to hold me back from storming into the room myself. Two males dressed from head to toe in a navy blue outfit restrained me from going any further. I winced in pain as the buffer of the two guards swung his baton low, striking my gut. Aching, and sick to my stomach, I managed to break lose from the guards hold and began sprinting down the hallway. They called after me. They told me to stop. I couldn't, not now. 

   I had finally made it to the room I was looking for, and didn't hesitate to spring the door open. "Ty......" My body froze in place as I witnessed a single doctor standing over Ty's unconscious body. His eyes on me now. But my eyes were only focused on one thing. A straight green line had appeared on a small monitor on top of a stand next to Ty. The all to familiar sound ringing in my eyes. Flat-line. T-this is all-my fault. I did this to him. I fell to my knees and the tears started streaming again. Why? Why..did this happen..

~~~~Time Skip~~~~

   I groggily opened my eyes to find myself sprawled across a bed I was unfamiliar with. Definitely comfier than that one back in my cell. Slowly I lifted my body to examine my surroundings. I was currently in a pale tan room with cabinets everywhere. I noticed a red cross on many of them. So this is what the healthcare unit is like...

    I clutched my gut as I accidentally sat up too far, reliving the stomach pain I got from earlier. Damn that guard.

  "Mr. Dahlberg?" I heard a sweet sounding voice come from behind the door. I didn't bother to get back up fully, so I tilted my torso forward and supported myself with my arms.

  "Er..Come in?" As soon as I gave her the word a pale-looking female nurse entered my room. The first thing catching my eye being her bright red hair that went down to her shoulder, one side shorter than the other.

 "Oh! So you are awake then. Alright, just dropping by to tell you that you may be on your way whenever you like." She gave a cheeky grin and stared back at the clipboard she was holding. I took a glance at the name-tag that was attached to her hip. Nurse Alesa.

  "Um..why am I here?" I gestured to the healthcare room I was staying in.

  "Huh?..Oh! That's right you fainted in a young man's hospital room." She went back to the clipboard.

   A young man's?-Ty I remembered everything. I looked straight ahead as hot tears began to sting my eyes again. The woman did a double-take from her clipboard to me before deciding to rush over to my bedside.

 "Oh no! D-did I say something wrong?" She put the board down completely and rubbed soft circles on my arm.

   "No! It's just....Ty.." I put my head down and blinked hard, stopping the tears from flowing any longer. I couldn't understand it. Ty was brave, a great leader, respected, and most of all- the best friend a guy could have.
