Children of Zeus: Natural born leaders, serious yet humorous, strong sense of humor, stubborn, assertive, and can sometimes be a bit temperamental
Children of Aphrodite: Very neat (need everything to be perfectly organized and clean), care strongly about the people they love and their own looks, and some may be a bit arrogant.
Harry is the son of Zeus and Draco is the son of Aphrodite.
Just to clarify, this is not based on real Greek mythology, but more based on Percy Jackson and the Olympians's Greek mythology. If you've never read any of the Riorverse books, this might not make to much sense.
...
"What do I even say to him?"
Hermione and Ron walked with their friend Harry. The three of them had been friends before coming to camp. Ron and Hermione never treated Harry differently after he was claimed by Zeus, much to his happiness. They had all just finished archery (which they were all garbage at compared to the likes of Cabin 7), and were headed to dinner.
"Mate, it can't be that hard. Just walk up to him and speak your truth. That's what I did." Ron said, putting an arm around Hermione as if to prove his point. She rolled her eyes, but didn't do anything to make him stop.
Ron Weasley was a son of Hermes (though not nearly as mischivious as his brothers), while Hermione Granger was a daughter of Athena. Harry was always amazed at how well they seemed to balance each other out. Unlike most Athena kids, Hermione wasn't deathly afraid of spiders. Ron on the other hand? Let's just say the Hermes Cabin has been burned down over a spider more than once. Harry wanted a relationship like that. Someone he could rely on to kill all the spiders in his life (metaphorically speaking)
And lately, that person was a certain son of Aphrodite.
Draco Malfoy was the prettiest boy at Camp Half-Blood. He wasn't the only son of Aphrodite, but he was definitely the prettiest. It really was no competition. All the girls wanted to date him. All of the guys wanted to look like him. He was perfect, and therefore too far out of Harry's league. That wouldn't stop him from admiring him, though.
"That was easier for you, Ron." Harry fretted. "Even without considering how Draco would react, his mom is the literal Goddess of Love. She might smite me if my love confession isn't perfect."
"Or, counterpoint," Hermione added. "maybe she just won't care. Most of the Gods don't"
As much as it hurt, Hermione was right. Gods don't talk to their kids often. They only time the demigods really know they exist is when the Gods claim they and need they to do their dangerous quests. And even that doesn't happen all of the time.
We reached the dining pavilion and went our separate ways. Kids from different cabins aren't supposed to sit together, which meant people like Harry were forced to sit all by themselves while everyone else got to eat and chat with their siblings.
Then he walked in.
All the eyes in the room were just draw to Draco when he entered the room. He took his usual place at the center of Cabin 10's table, where his siblings swarmed him like flies. Harry wished he could have the guts to talk to Draco, but just the thought of getting close to him made Harry feel weak to his bones. For a son of Zeus, he wasn't all that confident.
Chiron, the camp's activity director and part time centaur rolled forward in his wheelchair form. "May I have your attention, please?"
Everyone went silent. Chiron smiled. "Thank you. Now, I am pleased to announce that we will indeed be having our game of capture the flag after dinner today. Team 1's captains will be Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley from Athena and Hermes. Team 2's captains will Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy from Zeus and Aphrodite."
