Fallon

"Slow down would you!" I shout at Reina as we run down the long empty house of the Mansion her parents own.

"Then stop being slow and come on Fal" she says all excited.

"What about Jacob and Jade?!" I ask as I run to catch up.

"Those losers fell asleep, come on it's almost midnight" she smiles wide as we reach the balcony that no one ever goes to.

"Reina will we get in trouble for being out here?" I ask as we shut the balcony doors.

"Fallon stop being so worried you need to live a little and if we do get in trouble I'll take the blame" she scoffs.

"In ten , I have my whole life to live" I chuckle at her.

"And I'm fourteen, which means I'm bound to be the one getting in trouble anyways" she chuckle backs.

"But then I'll feel guilty" I say softly.

"Fallon, you know how our mommies and daddies are in the dangerous world?" She asks me.

"Yes"

"When we grow up , we are going to be just like them. We are born into this world and we will always have some part in the dangerous world which means you can't feel some things, one of them being guilt when you take your first life" she says almost as if she felt guilty for something. 

Before I could say anything the fireworks went off.

"Happy New Years Fal" she hugs me.

"Happy New Years Rein" I hug her back.

She always did say we shouldn't let out emotions show to much, or it will show weakness to our mafias.

And then they can hurt us.

And we showed a weakness, and they took two people away from all of us.

At the age of fifteen I learned that Reina had taken her first life at the age of four.

But she never showed if it bothered her, but yet again she knew how and when to keep her emotions in check.

"Do you think I'm doing enough?" Jade asks taking me away from my mind.

"What do you mean?" I ask as I run my fingers through my sleeping daughters hair.

"Do you think Reina is proud of how I'm running her mafia?" She asks again.

Jade has changed, she may be hurting and voice shows it but her face.

Her face holds nothing but a straight race, and that scar just makes her more intimidating.

"Jade, I don't think she's worried about how your running her mafia yes she loved it with her whole heart but what she loved more was us, was you"

"She's probably looking down on you hoping that your okay" I say as she just looks down at the little bit of wine she had left in her glass.

"She knows we all have different ways of coping , she's mostly likely seen mine" she says.

"And what's yours?" I ask hesitantly.

"Killing" she sighed.

"Jade don't tell me your killing innocents" I almost accuse.

"Fallon, killing might be my way of coping but I'll never touch an innocent"

"Reina never would have, so why would I" she says.

"She's proud of you Jade" I smile at her.

"No, she's proud of us and we are going to continue making her proud along with Nikolai" she says finally looking at me with an actual smile.

A smile I haven't gotten to see in years because I thought it would be best to leave.

And now I feel guilty.

"Don't, don't feel guilty about leaving Fallon you and Jacob had a kid I get" she says as if she read my mind.

"How did you-"

"We may have been apart for five years, but I still know when your feeling guilty about things by this look you do with your face" she smiles at me.

"I need to work on hiding my emotions" I say.

"Emotions is what makes us human, we just have to hide them at the right times" she says sounding a lot like Reina.

"Is this one of them?" I blurt out.

"No, but it's hard when you forgot how to show them to people you grew up with and to show your okay" she sighs.

"I'm not leaving, not again" I say as I grab her hand.

Before she could say anything her bedroom doors open to Alina walking in.

"Hey girls" she says with a smile and takes off her shoes.

"Hey Alina"

"Hey babe" Jade says.

"How was the bonding?" I ask.

"It's was as if he never left, our bond is still strong no matter how many years we don't see each other"  she says as she sits down next to Jade and gives her a quick  kiss.

I smile at how cute they are.

"That's good love" Jade says with awe.

Knock knock

"Come in" Jade says.

"Hey Jacob" Jade and Alina say.

"Hey girls, Fallon we have to go to the store and get some things for Raina as we wait for our stuff" he says as he stuff his hands in his pocket.

Hot.

"Oh right, can you grab Raina and put her in the car for me?" I ask with a smile.

"Of course" he says as he takes Raina who is now waking up.

"I'll see you two later for dinner?" I ask.

"Of course, be safe" Jade says as I leave.

                                    Alina

"Can we watch a movie and lay down for a bit?" I ask Jade.

"Of course, what movie love" she says as she changes into some house shorts.

"Grown ups?" I ask with a smile causing her to smile back.

"Okay" she says as she gets under the covers with me and turns on the movie.

I cuddle into her side and lay my head on her stomach as she brings her hand to my hair and runs her fingers through it as movie starts.

"How was bonding with Fallon?" I ask.

"I think it went well, it was awkward at first but I think it went well" she says.

That's good, Jade missed them.
