Jade

Breathe.

In and out.

Breathe Jade.

I tell myself over and over again as I hit and kick the punching bag in front of me.

Letting out all my anger on the bag, sweating and panting.

It's five in the morning and I had a hard time sleeping.

Punch

Kick

Punch left , punch right

Kick left

Punch right

Focus on your breathing and the bag.

When I can't sleep I usually either go on a morning run or come straight to the punching bag.

I must of got lost in my mind since I just grabbed who's ever arm and flip them to the ground.

"Damn, you sure have improved on your fighting skills" Jacob groaned.

"Damn it Jacob, I could of seriously hurt you" I sigh as I help him up.

"I think you broke my spine" he jokes making me scoff.

"Sorry, I've must of been in the zone" I apologize.

He looks down at my hands and his face makes a painful expression.

"How come you don't wrap or use boxing gloves Jade?" He asks as he takes my bloody hands into his observing the cuts and now bruises forming on my knuckles.

"Because it isn't the same, I like to feel the pain"

"I deserve it" I mutter to myself but I'm guessing he heard me.

"What do you mean by that?" He questions.

Flashback

I punch and punch till my knuckles are numb and the form bruised and cuts.

I don't even realize that someone is watching me as I take out my anger I've kept in on the punching bag in front of me.

"Take it easy there , yeah?" Reina says as she walks up from behind me with her long beautiful blonde hair flowing over her shoulders.

She's wearing a sports bra and leggings , letting her toned small abs show.

"I didn't hear you come in" I sigh as I grab my water bottle.

She grabs my hands and looks at them as they bleed.

She looks up at me in disappointment "how come you didn't wrap or use boxing gloves?"

"Because I need to feel the pain" I say.

"Because I deserve it" I mumble.

"What do you mean by that?" She asks angry and confused.

"Because I failed you, you got kidnapped and they tortured you"

"I failed you as a second command and I failed you as a best friend" I finish.

"But you didn't , you still saved me if not by psychically saving me then mentally"

"Your voice , and of course my parents but yours mainly , you saved me more than you'll ever know Jade" she says

Flashback over

"Because I've failed her once again" I sigh as I sit down on the bench.

"Your kidding right?" He asked.
