I played this song while writing, so I suggest you listen while reading mainly the beginning of the chapter

Beep. Beep. Beep.

I fucking hate hospitals.

I open my eyes and close them right away as the bright lights literally almost blind me.

"Turn the lights down" I say in a raspy voice due to a dry throat.

"Your awake" our mafia doctor says.

"Well no shit, I was shot I was stabbed" I say as I finally open them since he turned them down.

"Well your still a pain in the ass so you must be fine" he scoffs as he checks everything.

"Where is everyone?" I ask.

"Fallon and Jacob had to go back to the hotel for Raina and the other three are in the hallway" he says as he hands me some water.

"Can you let them in please" I say.

Once he exits they come in.

"How you feeling?" Alek asks.

"I'm fine" I say as I lift myself up a little trying to ignore the bit of pain from I'm guessing the stitches.

"Did you tie him up?" I ask the boys.

"Yes" Levi says.

I hear Alina scoff.

"Can you two please exit and let the other two know I'm okay?" I ask them and they nod.

Once the leave I turn rlly head towards Alina

"Is something wrong?" I ask her.

"Yes actually" she says which kinda shocks me.

"What?" I ask as I take her hand which she pulls away from.

Okay ouch.

"The first thing you ask when you wake up from being stabbed is if the masked man is tied up?" She says angry.

"I was just making sure mi amore" I say trying to reach for hand again but she pulls it back.

"Are you that mad you won't let me touch you?" I ask.

"Yes Jade! You got stabbed tonight. I had to watch you bleed and black out"

"I thought I was going to loose you tonight" she says.

"Alina, we are in the mafia things like this are going to happen" I try to say in the nicest way possible.

"I know that but your always careful, so why weren't you tonight?" She says a little louder almost yelling.

"He caught me off guard Alina , Do not raise your voice" I say trying to keep mine calm.

"Don't raise my voice? JADE I WAS FUCKING SCARED!" Alina yells.

Damn it

"Well I'm sorry I don't know what you want me to ducking do about it! Your in the mafia Alina , you were born into it! You know what will or could happen we are leaders of the a powerful mafia and the guy that stabbed me tonight is most likely related to the man that had some part of MY PARENTS FRIENDS DEATH AND HE COULD OF HAD SOME PART IN REINAS AND NIKS DEATH!" I yell back.

"Oh my god, you got stabbed because you were distracted because you were to busy thinking of reina? She's going to get you killed!" She says making me scoff.

"Watch your mouth Alina, he's also the reason YOU might of lost nik!" I say to her pissed.

"Nik wouldn't be dead right now if it wasn't for reina dragging him in her mess!" She says.

"He was the one after her in the first place wanting revenge, so it's his fault also but I'd never use him fucking against you for nothing! Reina was not at fault for me getting stabbed I didn't even know what he looked like yell after so why are you so fucking mad!" I yell.

She doesn't answer.

She's crying.

"Because even in death I'm still competing with her" she whispers out causing me to shake my head.

"Alina I married you! I risked my friendship with her for you! Your the first girl I've had sex with! The first girl I ever been in a relationship with! And your fucking jealous of my best friend who is dead?" I say.

"Yes I loved her, at some point I was in love with her but you have to fucking understand Alina that I chose you for a reason, I chose you even when she was alive SO WHY are you bringing this up five years later? Because I know it's not that I got stabbed" I add.

"Then why can't you see that I'm in pain Jade" she lets out as she cry's.

"What?" I try to hold my tears back.

"I also lost my best friend Jade, but I haven't had actual time to grieve because I've been looking after you! Making sure you aren't breaking down and when I saw you fall to the floor bleeding , it fucking scared me and I didn't want to have to grieve my best friend and wife at once, I don't ever want to grieve over you at all" she says as she grabs her bag.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"Back to the hotel, I'm getting a separate room tonight and I'll pay for it" she says as she leaves.

Once that door closes I break down.

I feel so fucking selfish.

She was hurting and I was being selfish.

Two days later

It's been two days since the mafia ball and my fight with Alina.

I haven't heard from her.

But I can finally leave today, and tomorrow we go back home.

"Hey it's just me" Fallon says entering my room as I get my shoes on.

Levi and Jacob brought me xtra clothes and shoes yesterday.

"Hey" I say.

"You ready?" She asks.

I nod.

"Have you heard from her?" I ask.

She smiles with sympathy at me.

"She left this for Alek but I'm giving it to you, it's her key card for her room" she says.

"Thank you" I say.

Once we get back the hotel it's eleven at night.

"Room 67" she says as we enter the elevator.

"Thank you again fallon" I smile at her.

I take a deep breath as I enter in the key card.

Her room is pitch black but I can still see her bed that she is laying in no doubt asleep.

I take my shoes off and crawl in next to her.

I wrap my arms around her , pulling her into me.

"I know you can't hear me and I'll say it again in the morning but I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry Mi amor. I promise to try and let go and stop grieving and I'll try to be a better wife for you, I want you happy" I whisper to her I let a tear fall.

"I love you so so much Alina, you'll never know how fucking much" I whisper as I kiss her head and go to sleep.
