5~How it All Began

*Eleven years ago* *30 minutes before Hyrule was taken over*

Nayru's point of view

The sun was shinning in the magical kingdom of Hyrule. The birds were chirping, the animals were joyful, and there were no clouds in the sky. Even the flowers seemed to shine on this beautiful summer day.

This day couldn't be more perfect. Unfortunately, I did not realize that day would be anything but perfect.

I was enjoying a wonderful book in the beautiful castle's garden when suddenly...

BOOM!

What in Hyrule was that?

I flew to the source of the sound and I was flabbergasted! The shadow army was trying to open the gate. And I mean the whole army.

There was about 100 thousand shadow soldiers standing in front of the gate, trying to pry it open. Some loyal guards tried to stop them, but they were overwhelmed by the large number of soldiers. Other guards fled to the castle. I suppose to keep the people inside safe. I must do the same.

I need to find my sisters and the royal family.

Once I heared the gates to the castle bust open, I used my powers to creat a crystal barrier where the gate used to be. I needed as much time as I could to find a way to protect the people I love. So, I flew as fast as I could to the castle.

I had to alert the king and queen about this surprise attack.

How was I not able to sense the dark army's presence?

I had a very bad feeling about this.

As I as entered the castle, I flew in many hallways. Just as I was about to enter the throne room, a figure stopped me.

"What do you think yo.... Farore? What are you doing here?" I said in a shocked tone.

In front of me stood the goddess of courage, who happens to be one of my sisters.

She has dark green hair that is tied on both sides of her head. It's looks as if she has two round puffs. She has beautiful pale skin that makes her green eyes pop. She's wearing a green dress and brown boots.

Although she's short, don't let that fool you. She isn't the goddess of courage for nothing.

"You can't go in their just yet, we have a plan."

"What plan? What's going on?"

"The triforce is at risk of becoming tainted by Ganondorf. He is in the throne room with the king and queen. Impa went to get Zelda and Link is with Din."

"What can I do to help?"

"I'll tell you, but your not going to like it."

Despite the fact that I knew I was not going to enjoy this, I nodded.

"Me and Din found a spell that could get Zelda and Link to the modern world, without Ganondorf finding out."

What's so bad about that?

"However, we need Zelda to be in the same room as Ganondorf for it to work."

There it is....

"What happens if he tries to finish off the child?!"

"That's where our part is important. Once Zelda is in the throne room, we need to sneak inside and use our triforce powers to send Zelda and Link to the modern world. They will stay there until they're ready to kick Ganon's butt!" She finished by throwing her fist in the air.

"Sounds like a plan, I'm in! Anything to save the triforce!" I replied

We were standing in front of the main door that goes to the throne room. Obviously, we can't go through there. So, we decided to use the hidden door.

Beside the door is a bookshelf with hundreds of books. I'll I had to do was find the one in the middle. I've done this on numerous occasions, so I found it with ease.

Once I opened the bookshelf, I could hear two Ganon and Impa yelling at each other. We stood behind a giant statue. So, we were well hidden.

"Leave the child out of this! She has nothing to do with this. Let her go and take me instead! It's between you and me!" Impa cried.

"Your begging is futile. Sadly, the child is a very big part of this my dear. The triforce on her hand is the reason I'm here! Now stop stalling! Fools, take her away now!" Ganon said with an arrogant look on his face.

The minions were surrounding the princess and Impa. We need to intervene and fast!

"Ok Nayru, now's the time to send the princess to a safer place. I'll take care of Ganondorf."

I was about to conjure up my spell, but I was interrupted by the princesse's scream.

"NOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

At that moment, time seemed to slow down. And everything was surrounded by a bright light.

*Eleven years after Hyrule was first taken over* *Three days before the escape to the modern world*

Zelda's point of view

When Nayru finished explaining what happened, everyone was too shocked to speak. Except of course....

"So.........it wasn't my fault?" Said a shocked Din.

"Really that's all you got from that?!" Nayru cried.

After a brief silence I spoke.

"No, it was all mine."

"Zelda that's not true! You were too young to even understand your powers." Impa encouraged.

"I know, but I still feel guilty for putting you guys through..."

"Impa's right Zelda, you shouldn't feel guilty. Besides, we can't change the past, we need to find a way to find the lost hero." Farore said.

"Yeah, finally! It's about time we get some action around here." Din cried with excitement.

"Din's right guys, let's start planning our escape to the modern world. Any ideas?" I asked

"Well since it's going to be the eleventh years of Hyrule's downfall in three days, that could be the perfect time to escape."

Nayru was right, it's time to get this show on the road. Ganon has been in power for too long. The triforce made Nayru remember where the lost hero was for a reason.

"Ok, so here's what we are going to do..."

Since I'm done my first year in university, I'm going to try to update more often.

I've noticed that their is more views on my last chapter, so I'm going to try to concentrate more on what happens at the school.

I've been concentrating on writing about the past just to put you guys in context. So, the next chapters are going to be about Zelda's high school adventures!
