"Why the hell did those teenage hormones have to kick in two days before the next fucking game." There was some slamming against the thin walls that I was leaning on.

I understood the coach's complaints completely. Our number 15 dropped the team today and we just happened to have a game in a few days. We only have one goalie now, Dalton. If he gets hurt... it's over.

"That kid is very selfish." Reece shakes his hair out and rest his head back on the wall. "He couldn't have waited one more day to drop it?!" Reece hits the wall and then stands up quickly and starts that mad sort of pacing.

"Hey. Save that anger for the ice." Nolan stated, stepping out of the coaches office to find a place to sit against the wall like the rest of the team.

"Trust me. It will be there also." Reece reassures, Nolan then laughs looking down at the rubber floor.

We had to wait for the coach to unlock the locker room for us to get changed and really get on with this practice. We had taken a few days off of practice so we can really knock these few days out before this game.

And those days have been full of drama and headaches. I've just kept my head down and gone through school, seeing Daisy around campus is for sure weird, but she isn't coming over to me and telling me what's wrong. That's something I hate, someone not being honest. Daisy has never been like this through all of the years we have been together. So through out those days full of ignored texts and avoiding eye contact, I will wait. I will wait for her to think everything out then come to me. I'll be waiting for her, open and listening to when happens. I just hope it happens sooner rather then later...

Hearing footsteps, everyone looks up from their spot and see Harley walk over with his duffel bag thrown over his shoulder. He is also someone that I haven't seen and talked to in a while but not for the same reason as my girlfriend and father.

He sees me and smiles then comes over and takes the duffel bag off of his shoulder, setting it down against the wall. Harley takes a seat right in front of me as he pulls up the hood of his hoodie.

"Hey! Haven't seen you in a while." Harley smiles and since I was sitting criss cross he taps my knee.

Resting my head back I also smile. "I don't see you a lot. Where are you around campus?" My eye catch the small movement of his hand playing with his drawstrings.

After a beat he responds, "Usually during breaks I'm going over stuff with my teachers or talking with a translator. I don't have time for anything." He shrugs then moves his legs to be off the side of me, leaning back on his palms.

I just nod and silence falls over us. I look over at the rest of the team and some shift there eyes down quickly and I realize they were staring, staring at me and Harley.

My heart flips.

"One! Two! Three! Go go go!" Since coach is mad and upset with the goalie situation we get the brunt of it. Warm up is hard and long this practice. We skate back and forth doing suicides on the ice, we pass pucks to one another then rush half the rink. It was hard and it felt like an endurance practice. The coach usually informs us of an endurance practice a few days before so we can all prepare for that dangerous day.

That's not the case today. It's just his anger that is being taken out on us. Before my thoughts can go any farther I hear a loud crash on the other side of the rink. Everyone seems to stop right in there tracks and look toward this booming noise. It happened to be Reece down to his knees bending over on to his forearms while Harley was sitting down against the boards with his helmet thrown to the side, gripping the side of his leg.

"Get the hell up and suck it up!! We are not done!" The coach yells as he starts walking across the ice to the two. I also skate up, slowing down once I reach the coaches side. "You've been hit harder Kitle." The coach pats Reece roughly on the back as a crowd starts to form.

Dalton was already kneeled down next to Harley. He had a hand on the boards and one on Harleys knee. "Can you stand?" Since Harley was looking up at Dalton: the male had obviously asked that question, had completely forgetting that Harley was deaf. Even with Harley saying he's good at reading lips, the pain was to overpowering for that fact to come into fruition.

I tear off my gloves and throw them on to the floor. "Can you stand?" He nods and I let out a sigh I didn't realize that I was holding. I continue once looking at Dalton, "Yeah he said he can stand."

With that being said Dalton moves from Harleys side and to the front of him. Gripping onto his hands tightly, Dalton helps him to stand up. It was going pretty well until Harley stumbled and he was back on his way down to the ice, but I reach forward and hold his arm, my other hand on his back as he just leans against the plexiglass instead of falling all the way back down. I look up at him with wide eyes, he was a still looking down at his leg, trying to flex and and move it out of the discomfort.

"We okay?" Nolan comes skating over and looks over Harley then looks at Reece. "Do I need to get someone?"

I move my hands from Harley and sign. "Do we need to get someone for you?" Harleys lip was caught in between his teeth and so he just shakes his head 'no.'

"No we're fine."

I look are Harleys leg then back up. I move and throw one of his arms over my shoulder and Dalton mirrors me on the other side. We take him to the bench and sit him down inside. He's still groaning slightly as he moved his leg.

"You sure you okay?" I sat down on the bench next to him as Dalton went back out onto the ice.

"I just didn't see the rotation cue. I ran into him and so my knee bent all weird. I'll—" I wasn't able to see the rest of what Harley said because the coach called me back onto the ice.

The practice went on as normal, with Harley sitting out. Although Reece bounced back like normal. After that practice I went home sore as hell and the next day just happened to be more practice.

The next said day was a little more calm, mainly working on different formations and studying movements that the opposing team seems to go with.

A new thing was also introduced though, a light. It would go behind the goal usually on the other side of the glass. It would blink if the round ended or a ref needed to say something. This seemed like the perfect thing with the incident that had happened the day before. We had tested this a little and it seemed to work pretty well. Now with this all in place I can't wait for tomorrows game and really see how Harley plays.
