2 weeks later

Warmth covers my left side as I slowly roll into consciousness. Looking off to that same side, linen curtains welcome the rising sun which was currently warming me. My right side though was warm also but this one was a heavy weighted warmth. Body warmth.

"Good morning." With a light laugh Daisy leans into my vision with a smile.

After turning my head to yawn I look back at her and muster the biggest smile that I can in the morning.

She laughs, pinching my cheeks to kiss them in turn. Once I pull away whining she shifts to sitting up on the edge of the bed, her naked back to me.

Daisy turns to look back at me, matted curls falling down her opposite shoulder. "Come on. We have a big day ahead of us." And she's up to get ready for a day full of last minute shopping.

I nearly forgot. I mean I probably made myself forget that today is prom anyways.

Soon enough both Reece and his prom date, Taylor are over. Daisy and Taylor are sitting at the kitchen island having discussions about their make up tonight.

"Taylor come on. We settled on this already. The ruby lipstick goes better then that magenta one." Daisy rolls her eyes shifting to look through her friends make up bag again.

The arguing continues between the two and I just end up zoning them out. My focus settles on Reece, who is focused on Taylor. She's been his long time crush. After much debating he had grown the balls to ask her to prom and even with all his pessimistic thinking before hand, she agreed. I was really proud of him to say the least, never thought he was acutally going to do it.

"Your drooling." I simply state then take a sip of my Sprite.

Saucer sized eyes flicker to me, sucking in as if to clean up his drool, wiping the back of his hand to his dry chin. I'm then on the receiving end of a death stare as he realizes I was just messing with him.

Sitting back with a sigh, head thrown back, "How can I not?! Do you see Taylor? She's gorgeous." Reece exclaims.

Instead of responding verbally I just laugh into my can. I mean I remember how surreal it was when Daisy and I first started dating. Going on date nights ever Monday, Wednesday, and Friday after school. Spending the whole weekends at one of our houses. She was the source of happiness I had, along with the fact she was the one that pushed me to pursue hockey as much as I did in my early high school years. Now? I can't say the same thing..

"Jae, how's my makeup?" Daisy leans over the arm of the couch looking at me with those shiny brown eyes.

I scan her face: Bright lips, subtle blush, shiny highlight along her nose, cupids bow, and eye corners. She is great at makeup, I don't know how she does it. "That's beautiful."

Daisy stands straight laughing lightly and posing with her hand under her chin, pushing her lips into a duck face. "Perfect. I can't touch my face at all tonight then" and she moves away.

I look to Reece once Daisy leaves and see, once again, his eyes locked onto Taylor. I shift forward to hit him in the shoulder. "Alright come on. Close your mouth."

Reece wipes around to look at me, wide eyed. "What..?"

His guy is hopeless.

"Your tie is so fucking crooked." Gabe pulls me forward by said tie and gets to work fixing it. "How did Daisy let you out of the house like this?"

I shake my head. To be honest I didn't even glance in the mirror once as I was getting ready, it never crossed my mind to do so.

"Release my boyfriend." Daisy comes over and hits the hand that Gabe had on me.

Gabe rolls his eyes and shoved me into Daisy, I stumble slightly but catch myself before we have a repeat of what had happened a few weeks ago. "Take him back. I don't want him anyways. I was just helping since your slacking on the job."

Daisy yanks me to face her. "How? Where?" She looks over me.

"Don't worry about it sweetheart. I already fixed him up. Now you won't be embrassing to walk in there with him." Gabe smiles at Daisy's disapproving glare.

She just sighs, shoving him out of the way and fixing my already perfect tie. After tugging at it impatiently she finally looks up at me. "You ready?"

I nod and look off to the left at all of my friends. This will be my last winter formal ever of my life. Being here with all these guys and my girlfriend I should have sat around and begged for this moment but instead it seems like it has all come up to me way to fast.

My hand is slotted into Daisy's and she takes me out of the parking lot and toward the venue. A short walk way decorated with white fairy lights welcomes us all in. The event center was pretty huge to be fair. Different concessions for foods and drinks, a huge DJ and dance floor below it and then some seats and tables tucks all along the walls. Surprisingly this was my first dance and it looked exactly how I thought it would look. I just wasn't prepared for all the bright and blaring music as soon as we crossed the corridor.

"Ah hell yeah. Good music taste at least." Reece rocks up beside me then rushes forward a little bit to play it out on his air guitar. He also happened to stop down on his knees right where Daisy was walking, rewarding him a "Move Dumbass." And a manicured hand to come out and shove him away.

It was way more entertaining to watch him sprawl on the floor for a second then to pay attention where I was being dragged too. Causing me to walk roughly into a random guy. I quickly turn to see who it was, not recognizing him I just dip my head down and apologize then continue on. There was no reason for me to stare after him or even give this guy anymore of my time, I bumped in to him, so what? Although something caught my eye.

Daisy had been pulling me to advance into the venue but she stopped. Eyes glued on the guy, mouth slightly a gape, struck breathless. This undisclosed guy looks back at her initially with the same look until it slowly curls into a cruel smirk. "Ahhh Luna, how you doing?" He stuffs his hands into his slacks then turns to put his full attention on her.

Daisy blinks a few times, looks my way, pupils shaking, she looks back at the guy. "Hey.." Voice shaking she refuses to make eye contact.

"What's wrong? Does the last time we see each other make you a little nervous?" He steps forward slowly then shifts his eyes now to our clasped hands. "I see." He mumbled and walks away.

That's it. What the hell just happened. This random guy I bumped into, mind you, have never seen in my life somehow knows Daisy. The last time they met it was something to be embarrassed about and I can't help but to get a sinking pit of anxiety.

Daisy looks done at the floor as my eyes follow this guy out of the venue. I turn to her questioningly, "Who was that?"

Daisy shakes her head. "No one."

My chest flares rapidly outwards from my heart, mouth turning numb and cheeks twitching. There was no where in hell she didn't know that guy. I saw that stare they shared, I cared less about who the guy was and more about why she would lie straight to my face like that.

"Daisy. Who was that?" I didn't mean to raise my voice but, emotions seem to take over. Everything seems to pile one by one on my chest, heavily.

"It's no one Jaejoon. Your being a real dick right now." She throws down my arm when she turns around roughly to look at me. Her eyes lock with mine and they are full of anger and... worry? Seeing those emotions leak out before me making my stomach drop even more then I thought was possible.

My hands clench to my sides. I can feel others stare, starting to create a scene. "Daisy, who—"

Daisy steps up to me. "I was going through a rough time and you weren't  there." Her voice thickens and I see her eye moister start to collect in the corner. "I needed someone. I reached out and got the help from someone that would act like a boyfriend since apparently mine is side tracked and has more  important things then me." Tears collect and pour down her cheeks, sniffling she looks me right in my eyes, a small pause to let what she just said sink in to a suffocating ache. "I wasn't in the fucking wrong Jaejoon, you were. You made me do it."
