24. Accidental Fire

"Do you want to go with me next time?"

"I think so, it can be" Minju smiled a little sideways, looking at the other patients who were walking in the garden "It was weird since Karina, and the three of them left."

"Yes..." I bit my lower lip, thinking of Yeji and our daughters next. Was she okay? She was probably needing me, what the fuck because everything had to be so complicated.

"What are you thinking? And why are you smiling?"

I looked at Minju, giving a low, nasal laugh, not knowing yet if I should tell, but she was my best friend, she would find out in no time, and would be mad at me if I didn't.

"Yeji is pregnant" I whispered close to her ear "With twins"

"What?!"

"Shhh!" I covered her mouth, giving small fake smiles to the patients who looked at us scared "She's pregnant, Minju! My wife is pregnant!"

"with twins?" She smiled as I nodded "So what you have between your legs really works! Congratulations!"

then she stopped and thought for a few seconds "Ok, now you need to get out of here as soon as possible."

"We need to get out of here as soon as possible" I argued "I have a plan, but I don't know if it would work."

"Which is?"

Just as I was about to tell her, I noticed the eyes of a security guard on both of us, and for some reason this bothered me in a way that never happened before.

I clenched my fists walking towards him in heavy and fast steps, he didn't seemed to be bothered by my approach, and I wouldn't be intimidated by his size either.

"What are you looking at us so much?"

"I know what you're hiding to your father, and I know what you had with Yeji."

"He knows? Why haven't you told my father until now?" I asked arching an eyebrow as he smirked.

"Because I want to find your girl and I want to fuck her, until she learns to be a real woman"

The punch I landed in his face was enough to make my hand go numb for a few minutes, and enough to manage to turn his nose to the right as he groaned in pain.

I grabbed the collar of his shirt, unnatural anger in my veins, as if I could kill him at any moment.

"Listen here you son of a bitch, or you take my wife's name out of your mouth, or I just broke what you consider to be a face, did you hear me?" I threw him on the ground shaking my hand slightly, passing by Minju and ignoring her completely.

I spent that week with blood in my eyes, I could kill a human being at any moment, I calculated without pity or mercy how I would free all the women who were there, a night escape perhaps.

I would have to call the police there were many women and if I If I sent them all to the village, it would certainly be much easier to find them, besides not trusting them, if one of them gave me to my father, it could all be over.

"No" I muttered "What the fuck!"

"Accept it, Ryujin, one way or another we will have to call the police!"

"We can be arrested! Minju, I have two daughters to raise, and a woman who needs me-"

"And I have Karina, Ryujin! I know how desperate you are now, because I am too, it's not just you who wants or needs to get out of here, I want to get out of here too! But it's no use creating fancy plans when the result is the same in all of them; police and prison!"

"We can take them all out in one night and set fire to the hospital with the guards, nurses and-"

"My father is here" she concludes shaking her head "Wait?! What? Is she crazy? This can also lead to arrest!"

"Not when you forget the gas in the kitchen on, the police will declare it as accidental fire, we take the women out of here and let them all burn, and if anyone survives, we'll be far away from here."

I stared at her for a few seconds, finding her idea so brilliant but terrifying, which started to be my first choice of escape attempt, it could seem psychopathic on our part, but for those who worked in that place, that was nothing.

After we closed the ventilation duct we walked along the trail, Minju looking forward to finally seeing Karina and I clearly nervous to see Yeji. A week felt like an eternity, and I felt I wasn't the only one who thought that.

"Hey" I whispered as Yeji threw herself into my arms with force, just like last week, she was crying and sobbing making me cry too.

I loved that woman so much that I couldn't imagine anything without her "I missed you, my love..."

"Me too... I missed you a lot, Ryujin"

" I brought a surprise for your best friend."

"Minju!" I took my backpack from the floor while Yeji hugged Minju, but I pulled her wrist because that hug was taking too long in my opinion.

I wrapped my hands on Yeji's waist as we walked up to the mansion, her soft scent was always nice to inhale.

"We have visitors! Yeonjun, put one more plate on the table, Ryujin arrived and brought who Karina wanted to see!"

I watched silently as Yeji's best friend descended the stairs, stopping at the last few steps as Minju entered the great room.

The two faced each other and the scene that followed made me smile; the way Karina threw herself into Minju's arms made me shiver, because I felt their love, and it was beautiful.

"I told you you wouldn't get rid of me so soon, didn't I?" Minju said holding the girl's face, which let the tears roll uncontrollably down her face "I promised I'd see you again, didn't I?"

"Huh..."

I looked at Yeji hiding her face in the crook of my neck and resting my hands on her belly, finally resting in the arms of the one I really sought comfort and security.
