AN HOUR LATER
"I'm bored." Y/N said, pouting.
"Hi bored, I'm Scarlett. Nice to meet you." Scarlett
said, grinning while mixing some ingredients for the cookies that she'll bake.
Y/N laughed, "You're such a mom."
Scarlett just rolled her eyes, chuckling.
It's one of those days wherein both of them are free and as usual, they would spend their days together. And Y/N said she wants some cookies, so being such a good friend that she is, Scarlett will bake some for her best friend.
"Let's do something else." Y/N said, "Then I'll help
you bake later." She added.
Scarlett looked at Y/N, she raised an eyebrow. "You're literally the one who wanted cookies." She said.
Y/N clicked her tongue, shaking her head. Then she stood up, "Alexa, play Lover by Taylor Swift." She said and she smiles when the song was played.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow, watching her best friend walking towards her.
"Wipe your hands." Y/N said, pointing to Scarlett's hands that have flour in them.
Scarlett wiped her hands, "Now what?"
"May I have this dance, beautiful?" Y/N asked, wiggling her eyebrows and extending her hand for Scarlett to take.
Scarlett smiles, blushing. Then she nodded her head. "In a heartbeat." She said and taking Y/N's hand in hers.
Y/N smiles, putting Scarlett's arms around her neck while she wrapped hers around the actress' waist to pull her closer. She look between Scarlett's eyes, her heart dancing with joy.
"We could leave the Christmas lights up 'til January
And this is our place, we make the rules
And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious way aboutyou dear
Have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years?"
Y/N sang, smiling while they slow dance to the song.
"I think we've known each other for more than
twenty years even though we've only been friends
for almost two years." Scarlett whispered, smiling
widely.
Y/N raised an eyebrow, "Like a soulmate?"
Scarlett shrugged, "Maybe."
Y/N chuckled, "I'm so excited for you to hear my new songs, I hope you'll like them." She said.
"I'm sure I will. I always love your music." Scarlett
said.
Y/N just smiles and continues humming along to the song while slow dancing with the love of her life, the person behind the songs that she'll soon release, and she hopes Scarlett will love them because she meant every word in them.
Taylor sighed, she can tell that her best friend is
deep in her thoughts. Her eyes were opened but
they looked distant. After her own schedule, she decided to visit her best friend at the studio to see how she's holding up, and well, she can tell that Y/N has been overthinking.
Taylor grabbed one of the acoustic guitars and started strumming, humming a tune. She wants to distract her best friend even for a short time and she knows singing will definitely help.
