The next morning we woke up around five thirty. It was earlier then we were used to but it was nice to watch the sunrise, so none of us complained. Yumeko had insisted on cooking something for breakfast so she had left not to long ago to pick up some groceries. That left me, Itsuki, and Mary alone in thought. We were silent for a few minutes, this silence wasn't like the ones before, this wasn't as comforting. This was an awkward silence, even I who avoided contact with others and loved the quiet hated this. Luckily, Itsuki spoke "What do you think will happen?". As much as I wanted to speak, there was nothing I could say. Yumeko is 16, there is a chance she is emancipated, but there's a chance she isn't. I don't want to entertain the thought of Yumeko being taken away by child protective services, I don't want to her to be taken to an orphanage. "Nothing good." Mary responded. I shot her a glare, there had to be something that could be done, there had to be something that I could, there has to be a way I can help Yumeko. And I will find it.
