Seraphina:

Sera backed up as he did, rubbing her eyes to clear away the tears, quite embarrassed now that the shock of everything was wearing off. She nodded, "I'm alright." The hug was somewhat against her nature, as she was not the touchy-feely type. In fact, she pretty much stayed away from people. However, Draven had always been different. Somehow, even years apart since last seeing him, she was still only comfortable with him. "I saw my..." stopping herself, she couldn't bring herself to say her parents. As much as she wanted to tell Draven, she wasn't used to sharing information about herself. She shook her head. This was him, and she still found herself unable to not trust him. "Well, it looked liked my parents...and though they knew information they shouldn't have, I'm positive it wasn't them...they...blamed me for letting them die." Realizing she was still close to him, she took another step backward, not wanting to overstep her bounds. "Okay, a few things I should have told you. One...I...uh...well I found out that my brother wasn't at fault, he...he was possessed by a Demon...hence the black eyes...so I sorta...how to put this...trained to fight demons, ghosts, and monsters." She gave him an embarrassed smile, "I, again, swear I'm not drunk...there are things out there...things you are going to wish you didn't know existed..." and damn, did she wish it wasn't necessary to drag him into this world, but in her defense, he was already in it. "Two...super quick hunting 101 tips...some things you need to know about ghosts."

Seraphina held up the crowbar he had placed on the counter, "Iron hurts them, salt purifies them, so both are key in surviving ghosts. They can't cross salt, hence them not swarming us, so make a salt circle around yourself and stay inside it if necessary. They can't touch you. Using either salt or iron will usually make them disappear. Now mind you, they can come right back depending on how powerful they are. A few ways to get rid of them for good is to salt and burn all their remains, or getting them to cross over are the two usual methods." Putting the bar down, she looked around the store, "There is a lot here we can use...." She didn't know exactly what was happening, but if it involved ghosts, as she had seen so far, and possible demons, she needed to prepare for both. Sera started walking quickly through the aisles, grabbing anything with iron like another crowbar, nails, ball bearings, barbed wire, a slingshot, water guns from the toy section, hunting knives, bags of salt, and another duffle bag to put it all in.

"The water guns are for filling with salt or holy water. That is more for demons. I suspect at least one powerful Demon in town, but at this point, I'm not sure if that's true or just a trick to get me here. However, iron works for them too. Salt does as well but not to the same degree. It's, well...trickier. You cannot always tell it's a demon. However, if you watch for it, their eyes will eventually turn solid black. You can exorcise them with Latin, but it's safer to trap them in a devil's trap." She grabbed a pen and pad of paper from behind the counter, drawing some crude symbols and then holding it up for him. "If you put this on the floor and they walk onto it, they are trapped, but the better way is to put it on the ceiling so they can't see it. Still effective." She folded it up and handed it to him, "Just in case, hold on to that...oh, and if you suspect someone is a demon, say Cristo, out loud, that will force their eyes black, however then you lose the element of surprise."

Unable to think of anything else except getting them out of there, she gathered her things together. "We should find a library. Maybe we can get some information on the town to help us get out of here. I never exorcised such a large area before, but I'm willing to give it a shot if there is a possibility. Maybe doing so will lift whatever is trapping us...oh and how much have you looked around the town? FYI, some streets are gone, like they end in nothing! I fell off the road. So don't get lured into the fog, alleys, or you know what, let's just stick together for now, okay?" She hoped they would never have to separate ever again, but that was probably wishful thinking. She wasn't sure what Draven was thinking or how he felt about her after all this time.
