There it was. Your knight in shining armour... well not really. A mental health institution created by Dr Ellie Staple. The doctor who examined you in hospital. The building was not shining armour, it was bland beige brickwork, with huge glass windows. The windows you could see directly in and the person looking at you, could see directly back. Her body still and still staring at your timid frame as you walk up to the path dragging your suitcase with you. The pebbles under the wheels flicking in all directions and crunching beneath your feet. The woman staring at you still from the first floor window, her eyes accessorised with smudged mascara and hair frizzy like she had been electrocuted. A smile graced your lips looking at her before reaching the wooden door. The knocker heavy and squeaked as you lifted it to knock a few times. You waited a few seconds before the door creaked as Dr Staple stood in front of you. Her arm stretched out to shake your hand, "y/n, it's nice to see you out of the hospital". "Nice to see you too Dr Staple" you answered with nerves lacing your voice. "Let's get you acquainted with the building first and then everyone else later" she smiled and gestured to grab your suitcase.

Her heels clicked against the floor as she strolled down the lengthy corridor. "Here's the living room" she explained, bringing you further into the room. You stepped in, still on the edge of the doorway, wanting to leave. A lady sat on the sofa with her fingers fumbling on the tv remote, staring at the news trying to turn it over. "Ellie, this stupid remote won't work" she groaned, looking up then making eye contact with you. "Hey, you never said we had new blood" she stated. "This is Xandra, y/n. Xandra this is Y/n" Dr Staple answered moving back towards the door. "Hi" you spoke quietly. Xandra just smiled and then looked back frustrated at the television. "Next, we have the kitchen and then we have the two therapy rooms. You'll be in either one of those with your new counsellor" she stated and carried on with her paced walk towards the stairs. "That's the downstairs toilet" she motioned to the door next to the stairs and took you upstairs. "Bedrooms... yours is number 8" she spoke again, her acrylic nail tapping against the metal "8" on the door. "So you have a shared bathroom with next door, which is Ally, I promise you she is nice and it is connected to your room." "If you make yourself comfortable and unpack your suitcase then I'll come collect you in about an hour" she turned on her heel against the wooden floorboard heading for the door. "Thank- Thank you Dr Staple" you croaked out still rather nervous. "It's a pleasure to have you here" she smiled and left.

Unpacking all your clothes into the pale white chest of drawers. Folding everything neatly in order and placing a photo frame next to your bed. The photo was of you and your grandmother. A smile appeared on your lips as you traced your fingers along the photo. A knock presented itself as you turned to see Dr Staple peaking round the door frame. "Ready?" she questioned. "I guess" you laughed out and jumped up from the bed. She opened the door further and you quickly followed after, shutting the dove white door behind you. Following her down the stairs, taking note again of her heels making contact with the floor and making the sound which became her. Walking down the same corridor as before and up until she reached the living room door. Her hand grasping the knob, "you look scared y/n. you'll be fine I promise. They won't bite". A gentle chuckle fell from your lips as you edged to the door behind Dr Staple. She opened the door and sat around were multiple middle aged women around the room. An abrupt clearing of the throat beside you was Dr Staple to get the attention of the room. "Ladies, I'd like you to meet our newest patient, y/n" she spoke confidently. Suddenly all the eyes in the room darted to your small figure in the door way.
