The rec room, is a room in the capital that the 13 teens get to visit once a month to socialize with one another. A completely white wall and floor room with bright lights.
White tables and chairs.
It seemed most of the teens already formed a few 'clicks'.
I sat alone.
But suddenly a dark haired boy came over and sat at the table next to mine.
We sat in silence for some time, then all of a sudden...
"TAP - TAP" I hear a small object land right next to my seat. A minute later I hear it again. And then again! I looked over to the boy. He was already looking at me as our eyes met.
He had sad grey eyes. A cloudy, stormy grey. Not quite Blue. He seemed to be either curious about me or just trying to annoy me. Maybe both.
But he had started to annoy me.
I gave him a disapproving look and turned back to face in front of me.
I felt very self conscious about the clothes the capital requires us to wear... a cropped Sports bra and short, underwear like bottoms...
We are all required to wear them. Whether your slim or thick.
Though I'm average, I still hated it. And I wanted to be invisible...
***
Again! "TAP" the boy tossed another marble at me.
