Jay has been here in the hospital every morning since I told him about my cancer. Well lately he hasn't since I told my mom that once I start going bald I don't want him to see me. But even though I'm not able to get out of bed I still have so much fun with him, I'm much more happy with him now.
Since they put me in chemo I've been losing my hair by the second. "Mom just give me the mirror already!" I've been in chemo for the past 4 days and mom hasn't left me around a mirror in days. Luckily I haven't let Jay see me. Mom held the mirror to her chest. "I want you to know you're still beautiful." I grunted and stretched my hand out for her to give me. I covered my mouth in shock, disgust. I was ugly.. my golden locks were gone, my eyebrows, and my long eyelashes, everything just gone. I threw the mirror on the floor shattering it. I sobbed rubbing my eyes roughly. I saw Jay stroll inside whistling with the book in his hand. He looked at me and smiled. I covered my face with my hands. "Don't look at me I'm hideous." I said teary eyed that Jay would be disgusted at my appearance. Jay lowered my hands. "Whats wrong?" He said. "What do you mean 'what?' I look like an old man with pneumonia." I heard him giggle. "You wanna know what? You still look just as gorgeous as when I first met you. And you wanna know what else? I like you better like this because now I could kiss you all over without getting your hair in my way. I could kiss you like this!" He climbed over me attacking me with kisses. "Jay stop!" I laughed as he kissed my bald little head and every where else. "I love you for who you are. The beauty and good inside you is greater what the human eye could see. And I've learned that with my heart." He grabbed my hand and place it over his chest. "I love you Charlotte and nothing I mean nothing can change that. "Liar." I crossed my arms. He lifted my chin. "Would I ever lie to you?" He said in his cocky tone. I smiled at him.
Linda my nurse knocked on the door and walked in with my chemotherapy equipment. "ugh another session." I grunted. "Sorry Charlotte, but you need this in order to get better." She smiled. She hooked up the equipment to that metal bar hospitals always use. Luckily my chemo is through injections! (note the sarcasm). She pulled out the huge needle and hooked up the meds. "This is gonna be really quick." Oh yeah just like last time. Jay held my hand. "don't worry I'm here.." He sorry smiled. The pain didn't hurt as much this time.
