Wendy wasn't sure how to react.
Abigail wasn't exactly a good person. It was clear that her methods weren't exactly something to be proud of, but her end goal clearly had good intentions. They didn't get along, yet Wendy still didn't want her to die.
"I think he went off into this direction," Andrea said, turning away from Wendy as she looked towards where Nolan disappeared into. "I'll be back, Fox."
Wendy slowly pulled herself into an upright position. The ringing in her ears mixed with the echoes of Abigail's screams were unbearable. She cupped her hands over her ears, attempting to subdue the noise to no avail.
It just hurt.
As the noises finally began to quiet down, she pulled her hands away, catching her finger on the edge of the mask and leaving a slight scrape. She snapped her hand away, looking down at her hand as she watched a thin trail of blood form and drip down the side of her hand.
Wendy pulled off the mask, letting it rest in her lap as she stared down at it. On the side where Andrea punched her, there was a large crack in the mask. If Wendy hadn't been wearing the mask, there was a good chance that Andrea would've broken her jaw in a single swing.
She'd given her all when fighting Andrea. At least, as much as she could at three quarters of her full strength. Even if she were at full strength, there was just no way that she could've beat Andrea. She just wasn't at that level of skill and desperation.
That was when what she said as she left finally hit Wendy. She pulled herself to her feet, watching as Andrea finally disappeared between the rocks just as Nolan did. She tightened her grip on the mask as she let it hang at her side.
She felt her blood run cold as she heard Nolan let out a scream filled with agony.

Nolan was lying with his face pressed against the gravel, his cheek scratched up as he felt a thin veil of blood begin to run against his skin. He paid no attention to it, simply holding his tongue. Darkness surrounded him as he managed to find an enclosed space, small shreds of light coming in through the few cracks there were. He could hear Andrea and Wendy interact outside his hiding spot.
The way they spoke to one another. How it sounded when Andrea broke the rock with a simple punch. How Wendy's pained yelp sounded as she was thrown to the ground. How Abigail's screams sent chills up his spine. How her body slammed against one of the rocks after Andrea simply threw her aside.
After that -- silence. He had no idea what to do at that point.
Was Andrea going after Wendy? Was she coming for him? Was she going to take in the substance? He was completely in the dark.
Nolan rolled over onto his back, scooching against the side of the rock as he collected his thoughts. He was no match for Wendy, so how could he be any more of a match to Andrea if even she struggled against her?
His nose twitched as a nauseating smell entered the air. The aroma filled his nostrils, causing him to scrunch his nose. He pressed his face deeply against his jacket as he let out a heavy cough, wheezing as the scent became stronger with each passing second.
"It really is a shame." Nolan turned towards Andrea as she came in, a light orange gas just falling off of her shoulders as if she were a walking smoke machine. "Wendy seemed to really like you, but there are others out there that'll do just fine."
"What are you..." His voice trailed off as he began coughing again, letting it out more as Andrea grew closer and closer to him. He looked down into his arm as he noticed blood splotches appear where he was coughing. "What are you doing?"
