JULIETTE
Archer and I were driving to the middle of nowhere, and yet, it was the most thrilling experience ever. It might just be because I'm with him.
"Do you need to pull over? I can drive for a bit, you look tired." I asked him and he sheepishly smiled.
"I'm never tired, Juls. It's my new look-"
"Pull over."
He did so and we found ourselves in a parking lot. It was almost full. "Can we go see what's going on?"
I nodded and Archer happily jumped out of the car. Him and I walked over to the field where people stood, holding sky lanterns.
I bought one and brought it over to him. "To us." He smiled, lighting the lantern.
"To us," I repeated and together we let go, watching the lantern float up to the sky. And soon, hundreds more joined it.
Archer wrapped his arm around me and we stood there, watching all the lanterns. I thought this view couldn't get any more mesmerizing and then I turned to him. His face was glowing and he was smiling at me. "Juliette Wilson, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.
I don't think I've ever smiled bigger. "And if I say no?" I teased.
"I guess being hunted down wasn't worth the risk-" He snickered and I interrupted him by kissing him.
It was true. He risked everything by being with me. He went against every moral he had and trusted me within the first week of knowing each other. Even when the polaroids began, he helped me. If it weren't for me, he wouldn't be in any harm.
"I'm sorry for everything, my love." I said.
He tucked my hair behind my ears, "I should be thanking you, Juls. I would go through it all for you."
"I can't believe it-" I choked out a sob, "Why? I'm their daughter."
"You're not their daughter anymore. You're Juliette Wilson. The badass who hit a guy 3 years older than her, who took a punch like a troop. You haven't been their daughter since the moment I saw you. You are nothing like them."
"Can I change the Wilson? It still feels like I'm part of them," I snickered through tears.
"What do you want it to be?" Archer asked, wiping my tears.
"Yours."
Archer smiled, "Let's get going, Juliette Beckett."
VIVIANNE
Juliette's been gone for a week now. Graham and I met the group at the park.
"Alright, Vivianne. Where do you want to go?" Logan asked.
"Anywhere."
"Any dream place?" Jonah asked.
"Nope. Just anywhere away from here." I shrugged.
"Well, Vivi, how about Austin, Texas?" Caroline piped in.
I smiled, "Sounds great."
"Ok! It's set then! Octavia and I will look for some apartments that you could rent for a while." Eva smiled.
My parents haven't shown their faces once after Juliette left.
It wasn't hard to pack all my things in Graham's car.
I hope I won't regret this.
But when I looked over beside me, I knew I wasn't.
I wasn't going to move until after I finished this year. I'm staying at Octavia's for the rest of the year.
Graham's moving down there so he can set everything up for us.
I'm super excited.
"Do you know where Juliette's staying?" I asked Eva.
"Oh, they're supposed to be staying at some cottage in North Carolina for a bit. Said it would be best for them." Eva replied.
"Well, I'm glad they're going to enjoy it."
"Me too, I just- I miss them, a lot. It's weird without them. I haven't even known Juliette for that long and I feel like she's my sister. And Archer's been there for me since the beginning. A part of me left with them, I guess." Eva looked down.
I know exactly how she felt. Because I felt the same way.
"Do you have any pictures of them?" I asked and she immediately nodded.
We looked through the pictures one by one. And I couldn't help but notice the same figure standing in every single photo.
There was only one where you could tell who he was. I zoomed in and felt my heart drop. "That's Andi." The same guy who came up to me in Florida. The guy who somehow knew the exact family dynamic going on in the house before me.
"Yeah, that's Andrew. The one who took the polaroid of them."
Andrew was Andi. Andi was the one who was supposed to kill them.
AUTHORS NOTE!!!!
So, Juliette and Archer literally own my heart. I love them so much ugh.
