1. Strawberries

I've always loved how my mom baked for me, even if sometimes she's tired, she always makes the best food for me, but let's say i don't have those skills in cooking. Besides i want to make her a surprise, she's working so hard in her new projects, hopefully she'll be able to have a rest in a few weeks.
I saw on youtube a video of the preparation of a strawberry cake, and i though it wasn't going to be that difficult. I put everything in the table, eggs, the strawberries, oil, milk, sugar, and i follow the instructions,  and it was going pretty good, all mix looked delicious, with a tasty yellow and with tiny sprinkles. I put in the oven, and wait 30 minutes, while that i start doing the whipped
cream to decorate the cake, the whipped cream was looking less "pretty" than i expected, but at least was tasting good. Then i take the cake out of the oven, and start decorating, putting all the white cream over the top and decorating with heart shaped sprinkles, it was looking good actually, now i just needed to my mom to arrive.

While waiting her i clean the dishes and all the disaster i made, she doesn't like to have a chaos in her kitchen. Then i started watching the tv, but eventually i fall asleep, but then i feel a little kiss in my forehead.
— Hi sweetie,how was your day.
—Mom, Wait, how long have you been here?
— I just arrived, what happen? do you feel bad? sick? period? anything? — My mom, always worried about everything that happened to me, she was such a protective mom, but in the best way possible.

— No mom! I made you a cake! That's why i'm so nervous, i was supposed to give it to you, but now you're already here! it's not fair all
— Y/n, you didn't have to my love!
— Come, i wanna show you
We walk to the kitchen, and the cake was in the center of the table, decorated and made with all my patience.
— It's so beautiful Y/n!
— You know its not a big de- And then she pull me into a warm hug, her hugs were like the best thing in the world.
— Come on let's eat it outside, like a cute picnic
— Yes mom, that's a fantastic idea.
