Sakura's Quest

Chapter 8 : The Forest Encounter

After accepting the trade with Chris and Jackson, Sakura looked at the crystal and thanked them. "Thanks a lot for giving me your hope you two, but how am I supposed to carry all 4 crystal shards with just two hands?" Blazer looked at Sakura and answered "I think I have just what you need."

Blaze opened her bag and took out a long golden string and gave it to Sakura. "Here, put the clasp into this end of the string and I'll tie it around your neck." Sakura did as she was told and once the crystal is on the string, Blaze tied the necklace around Sakura's neck. Sakura started to smile as she felt Blaze breathing at her neck while tying the necklace, she couldn't stop herself and started blushing.

After the necklace was tied around Sakura's neck, Blaze looked at her and was confused. "S-Sakura, w-why are you b-blushing??" Hearing Blaze's question, Sakura was shocked and stuttered "O-Oh, i-it's n-nothing B-Blaze. I-I was just, umm... zoned out for a little bit. Hehehe..." "Ok I guess." said Blaze, who is still confused. "Now that we have the first crystal shard, we gotta get to Wiltered Forest to collect the next one."

"Wait a second, Blaze. Did you say 'Wiltered Forest'?" asked Jackson suddenly. "Yes, but why?" said Blaze. "Because, we know a shortcut. Follow us." The Dragons follow Chris and Jackson to the back of the cave, which the exit was blocked by a giant boulder. Both Chris and Jackson pushed the boulder to the side, revealing a secret path to a nearby forest.

Chris pointed at the forest and told the Dragons that the path will lead them to Wiltered Forest, so they can find the second Everblade crystal. The Dragons thanked the wolf and tiger for their help and said their goodbyes as they set out to Wiltered Forest.

But on the way, Blaze was still confused from the event at Northern Mountain. Why did Sakura blushed? Does it have anything to do with her and Blaze? But still, it remains a mystery as she couldn't figured out why.

She looked at Sakura and thought to herself. "Why did Sakura blush earlier that time? Does she thinks I'm attractive? Does she like me? Ugh, she can't be in love with me, she's a Royalty Dragon. There's no way she would love a lower-ranked Dragon like me..." Her head was filled with a lot of questions as the Dragons made it to the entrance of Wiltered Forest.

When the Dragons enter the forest, they checked their surroundings and saw that the trees were covered in a variety of colourful flowers. When Sakura saw them, she asked "Athena, why is Wiltered Forest covered in flowers? And also why it isn't fiery hot like you said before?" Athena looked around and agreed but before she could answer, there was a rustling sound behind the trees.

Then, Athena saw a pair of light brown eyes staring at them in the shadows. But before she could get close to it, she also saw 3 poison-covered arrows flying right towards the Dragons. Luckily, the Dragons were able to dodge the poisonous arrows. "KIDS, GET BEHIND ME!!" yelled Athena.

The Dragons got behind her and found out, that they have encounter a vicious Mythical Creature. The Creature approaches the Dragon and a soft, female voice was heard behind the shadows saying "Who dares enter my territory without permission?" while preparing her attack. The Dragons were extremely terrified as Athena asked "Who are you? And what did you do to Wiltered Forest?"
