Another month closer until Emily became Mrs Hotchner, she was beyond excited and felt butterfly's every time she noticed him looking down at him from his office.
She had picked out a gorgeous white, flowing dress which hugged just the right parts of her body. It was lacy across her chest and hung off her shoulders, it was long, but not too long. Everything was perfect and Emily looked perfect in it. She picked out a veil which was beautifully decorated with lace flowers.
It was hard keeping a secret from her best friends and team members, she did love having something only her and Aaron shared, she knew Penelope and JJ would hate not helping with wedding plans.
Aaron also had found the perfect suit, it hugged his wide shoulders and fit him like a glove, even though he always wore a suit and tie this one was different, it made him feel alive. When they didn't have a case. it was difficult to not spend his entire day staring at Emily, her hair fell so beautifully and her laugh was the sound that kept him alive. He loved that every lunchtime, without fail she'd skip up the steps, out of the bullpen and bring him a coffee and some lunch.
As Aaron looked down towards Emily's desk she wasn't there, he instinctively looked down at his watch, 1:13pm. "i'll see you all in 30 minutes" he heard his fiancé say to the rest of his team, this made a smile form on his mouth as the familiar footsteps approach the door. "afternoon handsome" Emily utters as she pushes open the office door. "how's your work going?" she adds
"not great, i still have so much paperwork to do" Aaron replied annoyingly
"me too, it's very distracting when you keep looking over at me" she jokingly said while taking a bite of her sandwich
"it's not my fault you wore that skirt today" Aaron laughed.
They were so in love they didn't notice the team looking up at them, just eating and talking through the entire lunch break. Neither one broke the conversation and Aaron didn't look at the stack of files on his desk, they simply sat and enjoyed each other's company. "i wish i had what they had" Penelope sighed "babygirl, one day not too far from now i'm betting it'll be you swooning in your bat cave" Derek argued for her.
"when do you guys reckon they'll get married" JJ questioned, almost as if she hadn't been paying attention to any of the conversation around her
"oo i don't think it'll be long - i mean look at the way he stares at her it's like nobody has ever felt like this for a person before. Our unit chief is in love guys. true love" Rossi chimed in
"do you think she'll go by agent Hotchner too?" Derek asks
A jumble of voices began overlapping "no!" "maybe i don't know" "she might?" "it makes sense doesn't it?" "that'll be so confusing" "Emily Hotchner i like that" "i don't think she will"
"i don't think she'll what" Emily says leaving Hotch's office.
"nothing babe" JJ says smirking
"for the record, i don't know when we're getting married and legally i'll be a Hotchner but you will all still call me Prentiss"
All the teams eyes glanced around at eachother then up to Aaron's office where he was looking down at Emily once again. "yeah guys.. the glass isn't soundproof surprisingly"
