St. Petersburg, Russia

POV Yelena.

I was nervous about meeting all of us again, it had been several months without seeing Natasha and I had heard on the news that she had released the other avengers from prison and was still wanted by the US government.

I opened the door to Melina's new farmhouse, this one had much more space and if any widow had nowhere to go, she could stay here as long as she needed.

"Mama!" I shouted, closing the door and putting my coat and Luna's on the coat rack "We are here."

Since everything was in order I had a long talk with Melina and Alexei. They apologized to me for being cowards that day in Cuba and promised to be the parents I deserved from now on, these months they had fulfilled it although they were still on trial.

"Girls, I'm in the kitchen" I heard mom's voice.

She was stirring what sounded like mashed potatoes.

"Did you see the new painting in the entryway?" Melina asked.

"Yes," Luna said, taking a glass from the counter and pouring vodka into it "The little bird flying away from a cage."

"It's too early to drink Luna," my mother reproached her "The picture was painted by Anne, can you believe how talented she is? She's trying to sell some paintings."

"If she paints Yelena, I'll buy her a hundred copies," Luna said coquettishly "But if she draws me, I can upholster our room with just that one painting, right Yelena?"

"As much as I like your face," I grabbed her neck, kissing her smile "I think it's quite excessive, love."

"Every day I see you more in love" Melina said smiling.

"What can I tell you?" Luna answered hugging me from behind "Your daughter is still everything I always dreamed of."

"Vázquez" said Alexei entering the kitchen seriously.

"Alexei" Luna straightened up and stared at him.

They stared at each other for a few seconds, until Dad burst out laughing and hugged Luna, spinning her around in the air.

"Did you see the game on Saturday?" the Russian asked.

"I don't miss them, Alexei," Luna replied "Next game we'll watch together? I promise to bring my special guacamole."

"That's a deal" Alexei said.

He came closer to me and left a kiss on my hair.

"What did you do to your face?" he asked me, referring to the new style of eyeliner I had tried "Whatever it is, it looks good."

"Thank you, Dad."

We were setting the table when the door sounded, and then I saw one redhead and a blondie come into the living room.

"I'm home," said my sister with a bottle of vodka in one hand and a suitcase in the other "I brought a special guest."

"Yes, we can see her Natasha" Luna said.

"I see that your humor hasn't disappeared in these months, Vázquez" she said, denying.

"It's my personal brand" my girlfriend folded her arms.

"Hi sis," she came up to me and gave me a tight hug "Everything okay with the widows?"

"You should see the faces they make when we tell them they are free," I said excitedly "They thank us with tears Natasha. All the effort is worth it after seeing them free."
