Lunch time baby. Best part of the day

I walk to my normal table with Jonathan,Nance and Harrington.

"Jon, Nance.....Harrington" I say roughing up his hair

"Hey hey hey, hands of the merchandise" he says trying to fix his hair
"You're such a clown" I say plopping into my spot

All the sudden I hear high pitched giggles. I look over and see Tina and Carol handing California an orange flyer and excessively flirting

"Oh look Carol and Tina are already broadcasting that there desperate"
They all look over
"What's that paper" Steve asks

I started to get up.
"What are u doing" Nancy asks
"Finding out what the paper is"

"Hey girls" I say standing between them putting one of my arms on each of there shoulders.

"Hey y/n" they say

I take a quick glance at California and he has a toothpick in his mouth and a slight smirk

"I see your welcoming California here. To bad y'all were busy with that very important project and I had to give him a tour"

"Yeah....it was really important" Carol says

I nod head. Then the orange flyers catch my eye. I take my arms of the girls and grab one from Tina.

"Halloween party" I say looking at the flyer

"Yeah,tomorrow at my parents cabin.You should totally come" Tina says

"Yeah....you going" I ask looking at California

He licks his lips and shrugs
"Maybe-" he gets cut off by Carol and Tina yelling bye to hand out more flyers

"You were saying" I say looking back at him

"Maybe, as long as you're going" he says taking the tooth pick out of his mouth
"I don't know,I'm not big into parties"
"Really,you seem like the type"
I give him a look
"And what type is that" I ask
"You know the good girl on the weekdays but when the weekend roles around....that's a whole other story" he says leaning up against the table

I tilt my head to the side a little
"Wow....you're not good at reading people, are you"
He looks down and chuckles
"I tried"he says

"You should go though" he says
"Why" I ask
"Parties are fun,especially with someone like me...and you may get to see me shirtless" he says with a smirk
"You drive a hard bargain, California"

"It's Billy,my names Billy"
"I like California"
"Alright whatever you say......uh I don't actually know your name yet,Doll"
"Doll" I say
"What you have a nickname for me so it's only fair"
I roll my eyes
"It's y/n"

He gets of the table and stands inches away from me
"I like Doll" he says
We stand there for a moment just looking at eachother.

I start to walk backwards
"See you there...California " I say still walking
He winks at me and I turn around and walk back to the table.

I sit down and they all look at me.
"Damn already making moves on the new guy" Steve says
