"The engagement went well. May the wedding receive equal blessings. " Leonardo smiled.

"I wish nothing but the same." Zachary said while he looked at his mother and Sasha talking from the corner of his eye.

"Sasha was never a happy kid. After her mother died, she locked herself for two years. Soon after that, her engagement with the crown prince was fixed. But as you know the misery that fell upon my little kid. Villainess or whatever, she will forever be the beloved daughter of the Castina Family. Take care of her, Zachary." Marquess patted his soon-to-be son-in-law's shoulder.

"You may rest assured, father. I’ll do anything to keep her well." Zachary said and smiled.

Meanwhile, Sasha asked Madam Zecallion a question.

"Do you not feel sad that the villainess of the society is your daughter in law?" Sasha questioned, a mysterious glint in her eyes.

She expected to be contradicted any moment.

"No, rather I feel normal about it.” Madam Zecallion smiled. Her eyes were not betraying a hint of whatever was going through her mind. “Zach has his reasons and so do I. Well if you wish to flatter yourself, then I am afraid that I am not my son." She grinned.

Sasha couldn’t help but smile at her honesty. “Well that’s too bad, I hoped you’d praise me at least once.”

Madam Zecallion laughed and somewhere inside her mind, she found relief to have Sasha as her daughter-in-law.

“You look a little pale,” Madam commented. “I'll order the maids to prepare more nutritious food when you come over.” With that, she cupped Sasha's cheeks and gave her a quick kiss on her head.

After that, the Madam went over where Sasha's father and Zachary were talking.

Maybe...Starting a new life wouldn't be so bad...

She could see Madam dragging Zachary by his ear and leading him inside the carriage. A chuckle escaped her lips when she saw that. Happiness.

She had forgotten what it meant.
