Soon she went to the end of the graveyard which was famous for keeping the dead bodies of the Castina family.

There she found the tombstone of her mother, standing erect despite the passage of time.

She sat down on the grass, not giving a care as if she had finally become a child again.

She decorated the graveyard with black roses, her mother's favourite ones.

"Dad couldn't join us since you know how he spends this day alone...He really misses you." Sasha said in a low voice as she gave a faint smile.

"My life really took a turn. My marriage with the crown prince got dissolved since he found someone whom he loves dearly. I was even presented in front of the guillotine, dearest mother..."

"Do you know? I married a softie after leaving that jerk whom I wanted to possess...This softie really cares for me and even showers me with affection...Not like that jerk..."

Sasha didn't care if someone had seen her cursing the future sun of the empire.

"Oh! I forgot this! Sorry!" She exclaimed while showing her mother some packets which had her favourite cookies.

Believe it or not, Sasha loved her mother more than her father.

"Life is really something mum. I wonder how I could cope with such a life."

That's when she heard faint footsteps coming towards her direction.

"Looks like someone else is also here mom." She got up, brushed off the dust from her dress and faced the direction from where the sound was coming from.

The scene that appeared in front of her really gave shivers to her.

Twenty assassins along with a poisoner, all clad in black.

And this was one of the reasons why she had established Venomania - to get information around her surroundings.

And today only she had to shut down every protection around her.

Just great
She sarcastically thought.

That's when she realized that she had a dagger with her. Thankfully.

"Who sent you all?" She questioned. "Actually nevermind. Not like the loyal dogs would bark about their master." She grabbed her dagger swiftly from her calve.

"Shut your trap!" One of them said as they lounged on her, with a knife.

Sasha blocked the blow with her own dagger as she continued to dodge every attack.

After taking down nineteen of them, she faced the twentieth assassin. Her body completely weak.

She raised the dagger in the air, swishing it down as she and the assassin were in a heated fight.

When Zachary heard about his Sasha going to some graveyard without taking any knights, he became worried for her.

He immediately got on his personal horse, Zephyr, and rode to the place where she was, not even washing himself after he came back to the Zecallion Manor from the delegation.

He was practically bubbling with anxiousness and prayed to the heavens for Sasha's safety.

Part of him knew that Sasha would be okay considering how he had once seen Sasha stomping on a man's chest.

The Diablo Squad followed him long after.

Sasha already had a faint idea as to who ordered these assassins to kill him.
It was the crown prince, her ex-fiance, the jerk anyone could think of. . .

Kyle Venessa Louvremont.

Should have finished him when it was still time. F**k my past self for loving him like a fool

When the black hooded assassin sensed her spacing out, he kicked her directly and inflicted great pain on her right chest.

Sasha let out a scream filled with pain and crouched down on the earth, her hand softly clutching the wounded area.

The assassin raised his long dagger, coated with poison and swiftly swished it down on her.

Before a figure stopped his blow.

Sasha looked up shockingly.

Zachary De Zecallion had taken the final poisoned blow for her!

"Never expected...His Highness...to play such a dirty trick." He panted between his words, clearly trying to catch his breath. He grabbed the hilt of his sword and perfectly managed to kill the assassin.

If I act weak, will Sasha care about me. . .?
His thoughts matched with his actions as he collapsed on the ground, blood coating his clothes.

Sasha, on the other hand, was genuinely worried for Zachary. Without wasting any moment, she picked him up. Her eyes widening with a wild fear.

The deputy commander of the Diablo Squad bowed down to Sasha and helped Zachary to have a rough band aid. After that, the silver haired duke sat beside the crying Sasha, inside the carriage.

I never thought Sasha would start crying like this. I just wanted to test 'what would happen', not 'what will happen'.

". . .I am sorry…," He leaned his frame on her, "I was. . .late."

"You seem to be fine to me…" Sasha pouted, composing herself as she pulled her stoic villainess look even though her eyes were red and puffy.

After a moment's pause, the ravenette opened her mouth again.

"Thank you Zachary." She hesitantly kissed him on the cheeks, "Look, the mansion is coming to my vision."

Zachary blushed fifty shades of red. He didn’t expect to earn such a good reward but he was still waiting for her to lead him to the bed, herself.

I just want to eat her
For a month he hadn't seen his wife and was now hungry for her touch. God! He was willing to hug her but with his blood soaked clothes, he knew he couldn't.

Sasha saw his golden eyes turn dark. Maybe it was the effects of the poison?
