The little silver haired boy was dressed in his finest clothes. The lights had casted a fluorescent hue and the jewels that the noble ladies had worn seemed to sparkle more under this light.

The door was opened, the knight calling his name, "Lord Zachary De Zecallion may enter!"

He went inside, his graceful light steps making faint cracks on the marble floor.
He was assured that the nobility would gush out at him

Afterall, he was famous among the nobility for his good and soft nature.

But what he didn't expect was a crowd — undeniably a crowd — gathered up around someone.

He went forward to look at the person who was stealing his thunder tonight, and blushed heavily when he saw an angel — No, a devil. . .— The most perfect existence in the world.

A girl dressed in a blue gown was sitting on a sofa, her coal black hair falling slightly on her eyes. Her head was down and her hands grabbed the hem of her dress. She was clearly fidgeting yet covered it up with her calm composure.

The noble ladies wanted to pinch her rosy cheeks, even Zachary wanted to!

But they all had to keep in their desires since they didn't want to become a bad example towards society.

Seeing Zachary, a person of higher status than them, they immediately hurried to some other direction.

"You are such a perfect being…" The silver haired little duke looked down at the girl.

"I am Sasha Le Castina…"

The first thought that came when he heard her name was Marquess Castina, a figure who was like a father and an idol to him. His own father had died during the war on the northern frontiers, so he looked up to Marquess Castina as a person of great importance.

"I am Zachary De Zekallion. May I know why a pretty lady like you is not with your guardian?"

"You too aren't with a guardian…Besides, I am ten years old." Sasha retorted back pridefully.

"As the fiancee of the crown prince, I didn't expect you to retort back like that."

Seeing her not talking back to him, he asked another question, "Did you have your first dance?"

The ravenette quietly looked towards the crown prince, her blue eyes looming with glum.
Softly she shakes her head sideways and mutters a 'no'.

Zachary looked in the direction to see the crown prince dancing with another lady.

His manners are really deplorable.
Zachary thought.

"How about you have a dance with me?" The shocked and surprised look on the girl's face was precious. She didn't expect the Grand Duke to ask her for a dance.

She chuckled and accepted his outstretched hand.

And so, their dance started.

For the first time in her life, Sasha felt so happy. She felt as if those barriers that always pressured her, were setting free.

Madam Zecallion became worried when she saw the bruises on Sasha and Zachary's bodies.

The doctors and nurses — Whom Madam called — lined from one end to another, waiting to check upon their bodies.

"Lady Zecallion's right side of the chest area is bruised black and Lord Zecallion has a cut from the poison that was in the dagger. Thanks to his durability for poisons, he is safe now. Although I wonder what made him look so weak when he definitely had a strong physique." The head doctor finished his small speech and let the Madam decide for the next steps.

When he saw the brightened look on her face, he wondered what caused Madame to have it. As if she had come upon a realization.

"It's okay, I understand why my son looked like that." She giggled.

But it was immediately replaced with a frown.

"I hope Sasha is okay…"

"Lady is. She just needs to apply some ointment and take some rest."

Madam Zecallion deduced that her daughter-in-law could fight.

And that her son just wanted Sasha to worry about him more.

My son is such an attention seeker
Madam sarcastically thought.
