Y/N could feel the sun shining on her face from the window. Checking the time she noticed it was sometime in the afternoon, so she gets up and realizes that Lola was already up. Y/N sighs and leaves Lola's room and walks into the living to see Miguel and Lola sitting on the couch.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I overslept." Y/N speaks making Lola and Miguel turn to her "Don't worry about it, you seemed tired and I didn't wanna wake you." Lola assures. "Well, I should probably get going my dad's probably back now." Y/N says and Miguel stands. "I'll walk you out." Y/N smiles and nods. "Bye Lola, it was nice to meet you." Y/N says as she and Miguel leave the apartment.

Y/N starts to walk towards her apartment when she doesn't see her dad's car she sighs. "He's not here yet." Miguel looks at her "I can wait with you, that's if you want me to." If smiling was a job Y/N would be filthy rich because she smiled for like the 100th time in less than 24 hours.

"Okay." She says and the two lean against the wall. There's a silence but not a awkward silence but a comfortable silence until Miguel speaks "About, yesterday, I'm sorry I got you and your dad involved." Y/N shakes her head "It's okay, he's a huge dick anyway, somebody had to say something." Miguel chuckles and nods "That was pretty badass, what you and your dad did." Y/N side eyes him "You mean, getting pushed on my ass. Or my dad kicking their asses." Miguel nods again "Both actually, what was that?"

Y/N chuckles "Karate, but I haven't done it in years that's why I'm pretty rusty."

"Do you think maybe you can teach me?" Miguel says. "I would love to, but I learned from my dad and my uncles who so happen to be his friends." The sound of a car is heard,
Y/N and Miguel look over and see Johnny getting out of the car.

Miguel leans off the wall and heads over to Johnny "So last night was that like, Tae Kwon Do, jujitsu or MMA or something?" Miguel asked Miguel not even minutes after Y/N explained it to him. "It's karate. Old school karate."

"Do you think you could teach me? I asked Y/N but she said she learned from you."

"What? No." Johnny says continuing to walk away. "Come on. When school starts, those guys will make my life miserable." Miguel tries to explain. "It's not my problem." Johnny says. "Look if I just knew a little bit of what you knew, then I would be-" Johnny interrupts him. "Forget it. I don't do karate anymore, all right? Besides, I need to find a job."

"Well, you could open your own karate school."Miguel says and Y/N furrows her brows "Miguel, it's called a dojo." Miguel sighs "You could open your own dojo." Miguel says. "Look, I'm not even sure I'm allowed to be around kids other than Y/N right now. You want my advice? Stop being so annoying. And maybe you'll stop getting your ass kicked." Johnny says and he walks away.

Y/N sends Miguel a small sad smile before following her dad. Johnny unlocks the door and opens it to the apartment and Y/N follows him. As the door opens the TV is heard "....and have a life before I pass away. Any help Chuck can give her, we'd appreciate."

"You got Encore?" the caregiver Rhonda says looking at Johnny then back at TV. "Who the hell are you?" Johnny asks her as Y/N steps aside and stands beside Johnny. "You know those little red stickers that say "further reduced?" That means spoiled. You know that, right? You and your daughter are eating bad meat." Sid says looking back in the fridge.

"What are you doing in my apartment, Sid?" Johnny asks and Y/N sits at the table and looks at a magazine. "Oh, that's some "thank you." Who do you think bailed you out? Again." Sid closes the refrigerator. "I never asked you for anything." Johnny says going into his room.

"I think that little incident at Applebee's would've taught you to keep your hands to yourself. You know....when I met your mom."

"And your grandmother." Sid says to Y/N, who was looking at him. "She really knocked my socks off. Beautiful. Blonde. Tan. Tight."
Y/N grimaces not wanting to know all of that information. "Little did I know I'd be taking care of her schmuck kid forever." Sid says.
