𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟐 - 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬

At the dojo, Y/N and Johnny stand off to the side as Miguel and Aisha face each other on the mat. "Ok, let's see what you got, Ms. Robinson. Face me. Bow. Face each other. Bow. Mr. Diaz show her everything you've learned." Johnny spoke. "Wait, wait. I don't think this is right, Sensei." Miguel tells Johnny.

Johnny furrows his eyebrows "You don't think what's right?" Johnny asks Miguel. "She's a girl. Shouldn't Y/N be doing this?" Miguel replies. "And? I thought you said women were equal to men." Johnny paraphrases Miguel's earlier statement. "I did say that. I didn't mean it like that. I meant-" Miguel tries to explain himself. "Alright, then show her women are equal, and give her everything you got." Johnny says.

"Wait. I just wanna remind everyone this is my first day." Aisha says. Y/N sighs "No offense Aisha, but your enemy won't care what day it is." she says. "Exactly. Enemies prey on weaknesses. If you wanna beat them, you gotta conquer your fears and jump face-first into the fire. Are you ready, Ms. Robinson?" Johnny says.

"I guess." Aisha says.

"Mr. Diaz." Johnny says to Miguel. "Uh..." Miguel stammers. "Fight!" Johnny yells and they both just stand there. "Don't just stand there. Fight!" Johnny says and Miguel gets into a fighting stance. "I'm sorry." Miguel says as he kicks Aisha in the stomach and she falls to the floor.

"Oh my god! Aisha, are you Ok? I'm so sorry. Come on." Miguel says going to help her up. Aisha kneels and she ends up tackling him and slamming him to the floor. "My ribs..." Miguel says laying on the floor wheezing. "Girls a natural Cobra." Johnny says and Y/N glances at him concerned.

"This is wrong. You can't do this!" A man says from outside. "Well, I am the landlord." another says. "All right. Students, wait here. Y/N, you're in charge." Johnny says walking outside. Y/N looks at Aisha and gestures to Miguel as they go help up.

"You okay?" Y/N asks.

Miguel gives her a really look "Shit, my bad. I forgot, okay?" Y/N chuckles as she lightly shoved Miguel who winced as he chuckled before walking away. Y/N turns around and she sees Aisha smirking at her. "What?" Y/N asks oblivious.

"You like him, don't you?" Aisha speaks before Y/N subtly shushes her. "No...." Y/N says. "Oh, come on, you two definitely like each other. The way you two look each other it's so obvious." Aisha says. "Ok, maybe I do." Y/N whispers almost inaudible but Aisha still hears.

"You should tell him."

Y/N looks at Aisha like she saw a ghost "Uh, no I'm okay, I'll pass." Y/N says as she walks to the back of the dojo.

At school a couple of days later I meet up with Lola since Miguel was gonna walk to lunch with Eli and Demetri. "Wait, so you like my brother?" Lola says to me. "You don't have to tell the whole cafeteria." I scold her as we walk to our normal lunch table. "My bad, I just think it's cute." Lola says.

I roll my eyes "And you just made it weird." I say before the whole cafeteria goes quiet due to Sam pushing a lunch tray off of the table. "Ten bucks says that Sam's gonna swing first." Lola whispers to me and I nudge her in the arm as I watch. "Hey, guys. You know that billboard with a big-ass dick on it? I guess Sam takes after her dad." Kyler announces to the whole cafeteria and everyone "oohs".

"Hey, Kyler!" I hear and I turn around to see Miguel drop his lunch tray. "Why don't you shut the hell up and stop being an asshole?" Miguel says approaching him. "Want a another beat down, Rhea?" Kyler says. "Don't you think you might want to step in?" Lola asks me.

I shake my head "No, Miguel's got it." I assure her since I was confident that Miguel to ready to face his enemy. "I'm ready for your lame-ass karate this time." Kyler says pushing Miguel making him stumble back. "It's not lame-ass karate." Miguel says and Kyler goes to swing at Miguel but he grabs Kyler's arm.

"It's Cobra Kai." Miguel punches Kyler in the nose. His nose starts bleeding as he rushes at Miguel slamming him onto a table. Kyler picks up Miguel again and slams him on another table. He picks Miguel up holding him in a head lock but Miguel elbows him in the side.

Miguel gets the upper hand and he punches him, twists his arm and kicks him in the back. Aisha stands from the table she was sitting at

"No Mercy!" Aisha shouts.

Soon Brucks and the others try to all go for Miguel at once but Miguel ducks and sweeps Brucks leg. Miguel handles every attack thrown at him. Miguel continues to fight Kyler and all of his friends before he stands on top of the table and kicking Kyler in the face before hitting him in the face with a tray.

Everyone around me starts to cheer as Miguel looks around the crowd that formed around him. "Wooooo! That's my brother!" Lola cheered the loudest. I shake my head at her before making eye contact with Miguel who was somehow already looking in my direction.

I smile and wave at him and he does the same before snapping out of his trance and looking at the other students cheering. I happen to look in Sam's direction where she admiring Miguel. Sighing, I end up locking eyes with Jackson, who probably noticed the whole eye exchange between Miguel and I.

I send him a smile but he doesn't give me one in return. "Hey! Get down from there right now." Counselor Blatt says pulling Miguel from the table. Everyone awws as Miguel gets escorted out of the cafeteria.

Later at the dojo Miguel describes what happen at school. "All four of them?" my dad asks.

"Yeah." Miguel says.

"Even that big dumb one?"

"Oh yeah, him too." I say smiling. "Yeah, it all happened so fast. Everything just came together. I was blocking. I anticipated. I slithered." Miguel says. "Huh. Your mom's gonna kill both of us." Johnny tells Miguel.

"Well, she would if she knew. When the school called, my yaya answered. Never seen her so proud. She won't talk. And don't worry, neither will my sister." Miguel says. "All right, let me get this straight. You took all the lessons I taught you... and you used them... to straight up beat the shit out of those punks?" my dad says and Miguel looks at me I nod causing him to do the same.

"Well, yeah" Miguel says. "Follow me." my dad tells us. We follow him outside to his car and he opens his trunk. Inside there was two Gi's. "I wore this when I was training for my first tournament back in '81. I want you to have it." my dad hands his old Gi to Miguel.

My dad turns to me "Y/N, this one is for you." he says handing me a brand new Gi. "Are you sure?" Miguel asks. "Hell yeah. You earned it. Both of you." my dad says and he hugs the both of us.

As Miguel and Y/N wait for Johnny at the dojo there was line of students waiting outside. Johnny eventually arrives and when he gets out of the car he goes over to Miguel and Y/N. 

"Looks like we're in business." Johnny says with a smile on his face as he goes to open the door.
