Johnny continued to drive just as Y/N looked down at Miguel and back out the window. "It's all my fault." Y/N says out of the blue and Johnny looks at her from the rear view since this was the first time she spoke since they were in the car. "It's not your fault. It's that kid Kyler's." he assures. "I guess you're right, but it doesn't erase the feeling of guilt and anger I have." Y/N rants.

Johnny sighs not wanting to upset his daughter anymore he just looks ahead and continues driving. Once back at Reseda Apartments, Johnny grabs Miguel out of the car and carries him to his apartment. Y/N knocks on the door which Carmen answers her smile fades when she sees Miguel.
-
Y/N found out that Miguel wasn't allowed to do anything that resembled karate because of the incident that happened at the dance. Y/N couldn't say she blamed her but was still disappointed at the fact. Y/N laid in her bed staring at the ceiling when she got a text from both Miguel and Lola asking her if she could come over.

Y/N responded and headed over to their apartment. Knocking on the door, Lola answers it and smile as Y/N enters. On the couch was a wincing Miguel who had a bag of frozen peas given to him by Carmen on his ribs.
Saying her respective 'hellos' Y/N sat on the couch beside Miguel. 'Did you tell your mom who did it' Y/N mouths to Miguel and he shakes his head as Carmen left the room.

Y/N then notices Miguel struggle to hold up the peas to his torso. "Here, let me help." she grabs the peas and holds them up for him. Lola examines the situation and smiles to herself and stands. "Leaving already?" Y/N asks and Lola nods. Once it was just the two of them in the room Y/N speaks. "How did this manage to happen?" she asks.

Miguel begins to explain what happened and Y/N nods when necessary. "And now, my mom won't let me do karate anymore." He finishes. "I wish I could've helped you, but I didn't and I feel really shitty about it." Y/N frowns. Still wincing, Miguel places his hand on top of
Y/N's. She smiled at the touch and despite him holding a bag of frozen peas his hand was warm.

Y/N had a little crush on Miguel but she hadn't told him and she wasn't sure if she should. Miguel felt the same way, however the two were oblivious to each other's feelings. Y/N and Miguel both sit in the same spot not saying a word but taking in each other's company. "Hey I'll tell you what, let's go convince my dad to keep the dojo open." Miguel nods "Yeah, maybe I just need more training." he says.
-
Y/N and Miguel both walk out of the apartment and they see Johnny. "Hey, Sensei, my mom says that I can't train with you anymore, but I had this idea that maybe if we went to the dojo before-" Miguel says. Johnny sighs "You don't get it, kid. There is no dojo." Y/N furrows her eyebrows "What do you mean? There is no dojo?" she asks. "I'm closing the dojo." Johnny turns to his daughter. "It's over." Johnny says.

Y/N sighs "But what about us? We need you." Miguel says. "Sorry, kids. I gotta go." Johnny says as he walks away. "What do we do now?" Miguel asks Y/N. "I wish I knew." she answers.
-
A little bit later Y/N walked into hers and Johnny's apartment where she found him on the couch with a beer in front of him. "I did some thinking and I've decided I'm closing the dojo." Johnny spoke probably forgetting he had already told her earlier. Having to finally register what he had said Y/N sighs "All right."

Johnny glanced at his daughter who was looking down at her shoes. Usually Y/N would be against giving up. "Maybe it's for the best." Y/N says giving a soft smile but deep down she was disappointed "If you need me, I'm in my haven." Y/N spoke going into her room.

Y/N flops down on the bed and looks at the ceiling recalling what happened. Just like Johnny said it wasn't her fault, but she felt like it was because she wasn't there with Miguel. Y/N knew it sounded cliché but she cared about Miguel maybe even in a different way. As Y/N thought her eyes became heavy and soon she was asleep.
-
Y/N, Miguel, Eli and Demetri sit in the library during study hall. "So, that's it? No more Karate?" Demetri asks. "As far as I know." Y/N answers. "I guess so." Miguel says. "It's probably for the best. It was starting to boost your guys' confidence." Demetri says. "Isn't that a good thing?" Miguel says. "No." Demetri says. "No?" Y/N says.

"What has confidence ever gotten anybody expect for a black eye and their back pack thrown in the trash?" Demetri states. "Well, I thought it was kind of cool how you stood up to Kyler." Eli says. "Are you insane?" Demetri exclaims. "How is that insane?" Y/N asks. "Let me ask you. What is the best superpower you could have?" Demetri says. "Super Strength." Miguel says. "Shapeshifting." Y/N answers.

"Wrong. Invisibility. A distant second would be super speed to run away fast." Demetri says. "Run away from who?" Kyler appears. "Whom. It's the object of a preposition. Remember English class." Brucks corrects Kyler. "We we're just leaving." Miguel says. "Hey, where you going? Oh, look at this freak." Kyler says holding Eli's face. "What kind of girl would ever kiss this shit?" Kyler laughs.

"Leave him alone Kyler." Y/N hears Miguel retort she looks at him surprised but proud. "Oh ho-ho!" Brucks says. "What'd you say?" Kyler says approaching Miguel. "You haven't had enough, Rhea? Huh? Yeah. Get the hell out of here man." Kyler says pushing Miguel's head as he, Eli and Demetri quickly leave. Y/N glares at Kyler before following the others.
