Steve's POV
Everyone went to the school. There, Max broke into the counselor's office. She sifted through the many files and eventually found Chrissy's file. In addition to that, she also found Fred's file. He'd been killed the same way Chrissy was. I couldn't quite wrap my head around it. Nance and Robin went looking for more clues, so hopefully they'd turn up with something just as useful.
"Wait, where'd Y/n go?" I turned around to see Dustin. Y/n wasn't there. It was just the three of us. I could've sworn she was with us. After all, she handed Max the key.
"Dustin, stay here. I'll go look for her."
3rd person POV
Your heart was beating fast. You'd had some pretty severe headaches, nightmares and even nosebleeds. You didn't think much of it, as it could've pointed to sleep deprivation. However... you couldn't believe what was in front of you. He looked so... real. Was he real? When his head did a 360, you were sure he wasn't. It sent you running. You ran as fast as your legs would carry you. The empty halls that used to be filled with students, were now crackling and falling apart. Were you going crazy? What was going on?
"Help! Help me! Please! Guys where are you?! Steve?!" You closed your eyes and tried to run even faster. That's when you bumped into someone. Steve. He looked at you weird and lifted your chin up.
"Y/n, hey, are you okay? Where were you?" Your brother seemed genuinely confused and relieved at the same time. This vecna creature hadn't taken you, which to him- was considered a win.
"I just... I don't know. I was just... I–" you couldn't find the right words. Your tongue made you stumble.
"Max found something. Let's go," he said and pulled your arm. He led you to the office where Max had opened what seemed to be Chrissy and Fred's files. You felt your eyes widen when you saw the symptoms. What they'd been describing to the counselor... it was exactly what you'd experienced. Headaches, nosebleeds, nightmares... and finally, past trauma.
Nancy and Robin burst in and caught up with the rest of you. Your eyes were still fixated on the files.
"G-guys..." A tear dropped from your eye and onto the paper.
"I had a vision." Max looked at you, horrified.
"Y/n... what are you on about?" She inquired.
"I've been having nightmares... headaches too..." Steve looked horrified at you. Your bottom lip trembled in fear.
"Guys... Fred and Chrissy both died within 24 hours of having their first vision. You know what this means, right?" Max hasted. Your heart dropped. Soon enough, you'd see him. That monster. Vecna. You felt like you couldn't breathe. As if air had been cut off.
"I'm going to die tomorrow," you whispered. Your brother immediately turned to hug you tightly. As he pulled you in, your heart only broke more. What would he do when you were gone? What would your parents do? Before you could start panicking, there was a noise. It came from the hallway. You were still too shaken up to go, so Steve asked everyone to stay whilst he went to go investigate. He picked up a lamp. It wasn't sharp or anything, but it could definitely knock the average person out cold. When the others decided to follow, you did too. Robin held your hand and slowly snuck behind Steve. The sound of footsteps rapidly approaching filled the hall. Your heart beat even faster than it already did before. Your brother swung the lamp into the air, readying himself. He was about to swing it, when the footsteps were revealed to be Lucas. The kid who decided to do basketball instead of hang around his friends. Both Steve and Lucas screamed. It was quite a funny sight. After the shock, Steve proceeded to lecture Lucas. As if it were a great moment for that.
