Canonically, Vecna/Henry is 39 in 1986, but for the sake of this story he'll be 25 (I know that doesn't make sense according to when he was born and the victor creel case, but bear with me lol)

-------------------

"You already know me, Y/n. You've met me before. We've talked before."

He was sickening. You couldn't even put words to describe him. You'd never met him before. There was simply no way.

"I... I don't understand." He only chuckled deeply and moved closer.

"I'm not here to kill you like I did with the others. I just want you to join me. Out of your own free will." You couldn't believe what came out of his mouth. He murdered perfectly innocent people, but chose to spare someone like yourself? You couldn't make sense of it. You just couldn't.

"Wow! Sounds like a deal! You're so nice, offering an opportunity like this!" Your sarcasm must've pissed him off, because you felt vines slither around your body. They pulled you into a spike. The same kind of spike you'd seen Chrissy be suck in.

"Do not underestimate me, Y/n." How the hell do I get out of here?

"Tell me how I get out of here and I'll consider your offer," you spat. He looked like he was contemplating it. Whilst waiting for him, you heard a sudden melody. It sounded a lot like the beginning of your favorite song.

You felt your life flash before you very eyes. The memories of summers you'd spend with Steve on that hill... the shopping trips you'd take Nancy on... all the relationship advice you'd give Robin... and finally, the night you spent with Eddie in the boat. The way he opened up to you so naturally.

It was in that moment, your eyes darted behind Vecna and you saw an opening. All of the kids, your brother... and Eddie. They were there. Trying to help you. They were with you. You weren't alone. The glass from the perfume in your room was still in your hand. It had cut into your palm, but it was better than not surviving. In a split second, you stabbed him in the neck, making the vines fall to the ground. This was your chance. You made a run for it.

(Song lyrics)

Vecna didn't run after you. He merely watched as you ran towards the exit. He didn't even try to stop you.

(Song lyrics)

Before you stepped out, you turned around to look at him one final time. This time, he was looking at you with a certain melancholy. As if he was saying goodbye to a dear friend for the last time. Somehow... he actually felt somewhat familiar. The situation... it felt all too familiar to you.

(Song lyrics)

"Goodbye, Vecna." With that, you stepped out. You realized your body was floating when you fell down. Luckily, Steve caught you in his arms. You were grateful to have a brother like him. Although he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he was loving. He was enough for you. He hugged you tightly and you could've sworn he shed a couple of tears.

"Shit, I thought you were gone. I really thought you left me, Y/n." You smiled and clapped him back lightly. Behind you was Eddie. He looked terrified. Even though you'd only known him for a short amount of time, you felt the need to pull him in for a nice and warm hug. He also looked like he needed it. When your arms wrapped around him, he caved and wrapped his around you. It was comforting. More than just comforting. You felt strangely at home.
