The clouds lie
They say that they hold our dreams
That they're as sweet as cotton candy
And as soft as cotton
It's every child's dream to jump on the clouds
And then rest on them when you're worn out
But—
When I tried to jump on the clouds
I fell right through
The cotton white turned grey
The thunder ringing in my eardrums as I fall
Flashes of light blur my vision
Endless chaos causing destruction
Igniting fire to any that cross its path
