The Iliad, a noble tale

Written about Greece's most renowned warrior

Though met with great conflict the soldier will prevail

Leaving a mighty legacy behind for its reader

Achilles, lover of Patroclus, left with great sorrow

Broken for what he had lost in the war

Though Wearing Achilles' armor,

his love was left lifeless on the floor

After an arrow to the heel

setting a mournful date

The Prince named Paris wouldn't kneel

Until the Warrior-Prince Achilles met his fate
