It has been a terrible day. If she was being honest with herself, it has been a terrible year.

Wanda has established herself in the movie industry and she's happy. At least, she tries to convince herself that that's true. In parts, she is. She loves her job and being able to work with what she has always wanted to, truly made her happy.

But with the fame it also came the rumors, anxiety and fake people that only wanted to take advantage of her and her status. And Wanda sits on her apartment floor and curses herself for thinking she would have a perfect life with all the perfect silly things she dreamed of as a kid.

Life's not easy. It never was and it never will be. But she knew just how easier it had been once.

Without a second thought, she calls the only person that has always known her and that always would. The only soul who could tell which smiles she's faking. But you don't pick up.

Of course you wouldn't. You hate her. She knows it. After all the fighting and broken hearts there was nothing left for her besides your pain. But she kept trying anyway.

She calls you again and again and after you don't answer any of her calls she throws the damn phone away, burying her face in her hands as she cries desperately.

-----

The actor she's co-starring with asks her on a date. He's nice and really likes her, and her publicist says it will be great to promote the movie so she says yes.

Soon they both are the "America's favorite couple" and they star in other movies together. Wanda hates it, but she plays along, because she has to move on and she still has faith that one day she would.

So when he asks her to marry him she says yes, but all she can think about is that she promised she would marry you one day. She cries and he thinks it's because she is happy but in fact it's because she wishes it was you placing the ring on her hand instead.

She calls her family to tell them about the wedding and they sound really happy for her, so she decides to play along. She calls you as well, desperately wanting you to tell her not to do this. But you don't answer. And she doesn't call again.

A few weeks after, Wanda calls off the wedding, saying that she couldn't do it because she's never loved him. He takes the ring back with a sad smile, saying it was okay because it never seemed like she had.

-----

Wanda stormed inside her trailer. She thinks she has never felt angrier and more hurt than she is right now. It's your father's funeral today and the stupid director says she needed to work today otherwise he would find another actress to replace her.

Wanda doesn't care. She loves your father deeply and loves you even more. She wanted to be there for you. She always did. But her publicist convinces her to stay, saying that this movie was a big deal and she couldn't miss this opportunity. So Wanda stays, deciding she would call you as soon as she could.

The conversation is a mess. You say things that shatter her heart completely and she does the same to you. You both scream and accuse and Wanda is too hurt to keep doing this so she hangs up on you, deciding not to call you ever again.

Wanda walks down the stairs at a leisurely pace as if her slowness would keep her from facing her reality. She was leaving. Again. At least this time she would be able to say her goodbyes to you.
