You, Wanda and Pietro were walking around on theirs parents farm as you usually do on summer Sundays. The three of you are talking about school and you couldn't help but shrug at how Wanda was acting weird with you.

It's not that she was ignoring you, but she was most definitely avoiding looking at you at all costs and anything you said seamed to be conveniently not heard by the brunette.

Pietro eventually says that he has to go back home because he has a dentist appointment and you expect Wanda to go with him. But when she doesn't you have to disguise the silly smile that appears on your face.

When Pietro leaves, Wanda sits on the ground and you copy her movements, feeling the grass beneath you. Wanda is still weird, though, and you try to think about what you did that made her so upset with you.

- Is everything alright? – You finally ask, not being able to identify the cause of her behavior.

- Why didn't you kiss Sharon at the party last night? – She asks, ignoring your question completely. You look at her, surprised by her words but she's still not looking at you. When you don't answer she continues. – She clearly wanted to kiss you.

- I didn't want to kiss her. – You say cautiously, feeling very uncomfortable with where this conversation was going.

- Who did you want to kiss then? – She asks finally looking at you, her brows raised in defiance.

- I don't know. – You mumble looking at the ground, not really wanting to give her the real answer.

- Did you want to kiss me? – She asks and you choke, looking up at her with wide eyes and Wanda looks away with flushed cheeks as if realizing what she just said. – Forget I asked.

- No! – You say hastily and she looks back at you with curiosity. You stutter as you try to give her a proper answer. – Er, I guess I did. Uhm, want to kiss you, you know? I guess I did.

- Why didn't you, then? – She asks biting back a smile.

- I didn't know you wanted me to. – You say feeling your heart race on your chest.

- I guess I did. – She says shyly, her features softer than they were a few minutes ago.

- Can I... - you clear your throat as you try to gain the courage to say the words. – Can I kiss you?

You feel your whole body tense up when you finish speaking and when Wanda nods in agreement you freeze. But she is leaning in and you think you should do the same. When your faces are close you close your eyes, wanting to focus entirely at the sensation of Wanda's lips on yours. And when they meet, you feel all the weight fell from your shoulders.

It is shy at first and it takes a while for you to set the pace. But when you do, it's magical and you're pretty sure this is the best you've ever felt. When you both need air, you move away just the tiniest bit. When you open your eyes Wanda is still with her eyes closed and you take your time breathing in every single detail of her as she opens them. Her eyes lock on yours and you can't help but melt at how beautiful they look under the golden light of the late afternoon.

- That was nice. – She says in a whisper, her face still inches from yours.

- That really was. – You reply on the same tone and she smiles shyly.

She leans her head to rest on your shoulder and you stay there enjoying the rest of the afternoon and the comfortable silence you and Wanda share.
