Chapter 3

"Tess please don't do this." I scream again. Two steps away.

"I am sorry Alicia but I have to." Tess was really mad now and she growled a little. One step away. I scream really loud this time and then Tess is in my face. "This is for your own good Alicia. Goodbye."

Then everything goes black.

I wake up screaming and crying. Oh my god. That was so scary. I hated seeing Tess that way, it was awful. Then the tears start rolling down my face. Then all of a sudden I just start bawling my eyes out. That was the worst nightmare that I have ever had. I hope that never happens. What will I tell Tess? Should I even tell Tess? Yes I have to. I tell her all of my nightmares when they happen. But what will she think of the nightmare? Oh my god. I am so scared to tell her. I finally look at the clock and it says 3:30. School just got out. Have I really been sleeping for 8 1/2 hours? I guess I have. I should text Tess to come over here so that we can talk. I get grabbed my phone and texted Tess to ask her to come over. She arrives at my house within about 10 minutes. She knew that something was up. So she came as quick as she could.

"Alicia, what's wrong? Why didn't you come to school?" Tess sounded really worried.

"Everything is fine. I was just really tired so I decided to not go to school." Alicia said a little on edge from her nightmare. "Come up to my room so that we can talk."

"Ok. Let's go." Tess said. When they get up to the room Tess says "Alicia what's wrong?"

"I had a nightmare." Alicia said with a little sacredness in her voice.

"What was your nightmare about?"

"It was about... you killing me. You said that it was for my own good." Alicia said. She felt like she was reliving the nightmare and started to shake.

"Oh my god, Alicia, come here." Tess took Alicia in her arms and just held her there. "It's ok. I have got you. I would never do anything like that."

"Thanks Tess. I know that you wouldn't but still it was horrible. I was so scared. I woke up screaming. It felt so real."

"I know. Those dreams always feel real. Those dreams are the worst. I will never let anything bad happen to you. I am always here for you." They were still hugging but Alicia wasn't shaking as violently as she had been

"Hey Tess can I ask you something? And you have to promise not to get mad at me."

"Sure Alicia, anything. And I promise that I won't get mad no matter what."

"Tess, are you gay? And if you were would you ever date me? And if you weren't would you ever think about stuff like that?"
