Chapter 1

All started in the depths of the New York City. On one of the warm nights of the long-awaited summer vacation. Our heroes in orange and blue masks were making their way, quietly, through the very busy market of the Hidden City. Which at that moment was full of cheerful yokais, walking through the picturesque streets full of wonders.

Vendors trying to attract the attention of customers. A variety of magical objects with peculiar characteristics. And children insistently begging their parents to buy a toy from one of the market stands. These were some of the typical situations witnessed at the flea market. Which shared a certain similarity with the commercial premises on the surface.

"Aagh, why did we have to come just this day" Protested the turtle in blue, while hiding his face with the cap of his hoodie. Fearing to be seen by any of the yokais around him. Which were not few at all "I already told you that I am very wanted in this place after the incident at the spa. Why didn't you ask someone else, like Donnie or Raph?"

"Because they are busy. Donnie is still working in Shelldon and Rafa is having a private training with Dad" Mikey answered, as he eagerly observed several of the objects that were being sold. He loved visiting that town, and even more so when it came to seeing novelty magic items.

"And why didn't you ask Draxum? He is free today"

"Don't you remember that he is massively wanted here? The police are being more cautious with prisoners after you guys escaped from jail" Mikey turned to look seriously at his older brother. Getting the latter's full attention "If they catch him, we may not be able to rescue him as easily as last time. We can't risk it"

"Of course. And I can be locked up for life, right?" Claimed the eldest, with some indignation.

"Don't be dramatic, Leo. You're a young ninja. Obviously you won't be caught as easily as him, who is weak and old for chases. Why do you think I was sent here?"

"Exactly, they sent you. Why am I included in this?"

Leonardo stopped in front of a store, a few steps behind the orange one. He didn't like the fact that he was assigned to accompany the youngest in his shopping. And much less on that day so important to him.

"Because you are my older brother, and you must accompany me to place Drax's orders" Michelangelo faced him, very annoyed by the blue's unaccustomed bad attitude.

He usually enjoyed coming to this place, and always responded in the affirmative when he was invited to tour the market. He didn't understand the annoying attitude his older brother was having that night. But he knew that the concern for not being seen was not the only reason for being like that.

"Today the last chapter of "Married to Myself" will be released. Now how will I know if he finally discovered that his husband was a mirror?"

Leonardo began to complain exaggeratedly about his loss. While Michelangelo gave an annoyed look, discovering the reason why his older brother was with such an unpleasant attitude. Sometimes, even if he did not accept it, he could bring out his childish side.

"Look, I could have perfectly well come alone. But Raph said I'm forbidden to come unaccompanied to this town. It's not my fault that he insists on treating me like a baby"

"Well, it's not mine either. I just wanted to enjoy this beautiful Saturday night, tasting some delicious fried snacks, while watching some of my favorite shows, on the comfortable and not dangerous, sofa"

Mikey just folded his arms and shook his head in disapproval of the older's attitude. But Leonardo ignored him, smiling at nothing, while vividly imagining that pleasant and happy situation. Then he gave a heavy sigh.
