Eden POVThe first few seconds are always so surreal. Your consciousness rising to the surface as your dreams fade. A euphoric stretch that your body takes. The sun shining on a new day with untold mysteries.
I woke up this morning feeling a throbbing in my head. My body felt so sore as I reached to rub my face. The pain in my body was terrible today, this time physically.
As my hands rubbed against my tired eyes making my vision blurry, I arched my back so that my chest was up. I stretched my body hoping that it would help with the pain. But it didn't. I took a moment to yawn and feeling a tightness in my chest. I then finally wake up for the day.
Once my vision became clear again I noticed something strange. I was on a couch. A cold leather couch. Why wasn't I in my bed?
I had a thin cotton material on my body as a blanket. I looked to my right and noticed this place didn't look familiar at all. I immediately turned around to my left and saw a huge window giving the room light.
My heart began to race quickly. Where the fuck am I? Why wasn't I back at my place? I vividly remember Louis dropping me off, I said my goodbyes and everything. I don't remember stepping foot, out of my apartment. Was I dreaming?
I quickly got up from the cold couch and stood up. I must have gotten up to quick because I felt as if I could faint at the moment. I placed my hands on my face and pinched my eyes shut as I felt light headed. I need food. What time was it?
I realized I still had the same clothes on from yesterday. I reached for my back pocket for my phone and felt nothing. My hand searched both of my back pockets and still nothing. My chest began to move up and down repetitively once again. I wasn't even five minutes into my day and it was already terrible. I wake up with my body in pain, I find out I'm in someone's house and now I don't have my phone.
I was quite surprised on how I was reacting. I thought I would be more scared knowing Im in a random house, but I think I was more mad than anything right now. I began to walk around the house looking for at least someone.
The house was overly huge, it looked like it cost about a fortune. A chandelier hung above the living room area. Windows took up the house as walls. I would not like to live here, how does someone get privacy around here? The kitchen that also led into the living room, also had a huge black marble island.
I looked away from the kitchen and made my way trying to find an exit now. What if I was in some pedos house. I walked down the place and noticed a huge flight of stairs.
"Holy shit." I silently cursed to myself.
This person has to be rich. These stairs were huge. I ignored the stairs and walked down the cold hard floor. These sickos must have taken my shoes because here I was walking on the cold bare floor.
I look beside me at the large windows seeing nothing outside a far. There was just land and trees. No houses, no building, no cars or people. This place seemed as if it was in the middle of nowhere.
I'm gonna die here.
I walked down the house trying to locate a door, as my footsteps echoed through the house. I wanted to get out of here but I also wanted answers to where I was. But the best option was to find a way out and go. The sun shined through the windows creating light in the house and onto the floor.
I eventually see what I think is a door from down the hallway to where I am. I crossed my arms over my chest trying to warm myself up. This place was freezing. I bet it's not even hot out, it's always the same as everyday. They don't need to keep their house freezing cold.
