Ruby opened her eyes to find herself in a comfy bed, a white blanket layed on top of her; this wasn’t her house. She was never allowed to sleep on a bed especially one this comfy...
She looked everywhere around her confused wondering if this was heaven, the door to the room opened slightly startling the Rose. Fang walked in with a tray, followed by a delicious aroma entering the room.
Ruby:(Licks lips) What is that?
Fang:Your breakfast.
Fang placed the tray on the bed and the stands keeping it in place. The content made Ruby’s stomach growl Pancakes with syrup, eggs and bacon, sausage and biscuits and some milk.
Ruby:All this?
Fang:I could’ve made more(begins walking towards the door)…
Ruby:(Waves arms wildly)NO! THIS…this is enough…
Fang sat down beside the bed placing his hand to Ruby’s forehead.
Fang:Your temperature seems normal…How are you feeling?
Ruby:I femm client…
Her face was already filled with bacon
Fang:Huh?
Ruby:(Swallows)I feel fine…
Fang smiled at her as he pulled something from behind his back, it was some weird red box. Confusion easily visible on her face.
Ruby:What’s that?
Fang:Your weapon.
Ruby:A box?
Fang chuckled as he bagged up before pressing the button on the handle it extended into a scythe startling the little rose.
Fang:A scythe.
Ruby:Where did you get that?
Fang:(Waves hand dismissively)Not important…
Ruby:That sounds suspicious(Holds chin inbetween thumb and index finger with lips puckered out)…
Fang:Do you want it or not?
Ruby:But isn’t that one of the hardest and most dangerous weapons to wield? A worthless girl like me…
Fang:Where I come from, one of the fighters there was given the title ‘Death’s Aid’ because she was a beast at wielding a scythe…”
Ruby:(Confused)Where are you going with this?
Fang:I’m gonna teach you the same way my friend taught me how to wield a scythe.
Ruby:...
Fang sighed as he looked at Ruby…
Fang:Ruby I know you probably don’t trust me…
Ruby:I DO! I DO! It’s just…I’m some worthless girl who’s family won’t give her the time of day unless it's knocking the blood out of her. Why should you?
Fang:Good question and the answer is…
Ruby tensed up a bit waiting for his answer.
Fang:Because even if no one else would, I would rather help those who never had a great life and show them what it means to be loved. (Whispers) Since I know how it feels.
Not hearing that last part Ruby hopped out of the bed and fell into Fang, who instinctively wrapped his arms around her, a faint blush appearing on Ruby's face.
Fang:Ruby?
Ruby:You idiot…I’ll be nothing but a bother to you…
Fang:That’s alright…
Ruby:And I’ll eventually make you hate me…
Fang:Nothing in the world would make me hate you my little Rose.
Ruby looked up at him with a small smile, Tears were forming in her eyes again she quickly rubbed them away.
Ruby:Sorry you must think I’m a crybaby like Yang does.
Fang instead of giving her an answer pulled her into a tighter embrace which startled the little red head.
Fang:(Thought) God she’s still shivering…
Ruby POV:
I could easily feel his warmth through my pale skin, it was something I truly long for for quite some time, but...does he truly want someone like me living with him...I mean look at me I'm nowhere near pretty, I can't fight, I can't even stand up to my family...What's the point in helping me? I'll just...
No One's POV:
Ruby:F-Fang…
Hearing his name pulled him from his thoughts and back to Ruby.
Fang:Hmmm…
Ruby looked away from him before answering…
Ruby:I know this is a selfish request to ask but is it- is it okay if I go home and return here everyday…
Fang upon hearing this request went silent. After a few moments Ruby began to wonder if she had upset him. Till…
Fang: Sure…
Ruby was taken back by his answer…
Fang: Just say PinPoint to return here…I’ll be waiting.
Ruby nodded as she started out the door.
Fang:Training begins whenever you're ready.
Ruby:O-Okay.
She left with a wave and a gloomy aura, leaving Fang alone within the large room to gather his thoughts.
Fang:(Thought) She was nice, why would anyone hurt such an innocent girl…(Breathes in then exhales) I’m going to find out…and hopefully find some information about this world I’m in…
Within a blue flash he was gone.
