"Soup? What is soup?" Hanzo said cocking his head to the side.
"What you've never- oh right. You're a wolf." Cole said. "Nevermind. I-I'll just cook up some of the meat I have."
Cole stepped out of the shed treading through the snow back inside his cabin, but before he went inside he look towards the mountainous horizon once more. More clouds.
"Another storm? I-it's too soon!"
Cole dropped what he was doing and quickly hustled back to the shed. He slammed the doors behind him breathing heavily.
"Cole? Is something wrong?" Hanzo asked.
Cole turned around.
"There's another storm comin'."
Hanzo swallowed hard.
"Can this construct of yours defend against the storm?" He asked.
"Yeah but not from the blistering cold." Cole said. "I need to get you inside my cabin."
Hanzo nodded as Cole began dragging him back out of the shed. Cole trudged through the snow grunting furiously from dragging Hanzo's weight. They finally made it to the door. Cole flung the door open and tried to drag Hanzo through still sitting on the blanket, but Hanzo's body made a thud as he hit the door frame. He seemed to be too big to fit through it. Cole pulled harder nearly ripping the blanket. Hanzo even tried pushing himself inside, but it was no use. Cole tossed the blanket furiously and put his hands to his knees taking a deep breath. Hanzo sighed and buried himself under the other blanket creating a mound. Suddenly the mound started to get smaller. Cole stared curiously. He got closer.
"H-Hanzo?"
Something started to emerge from the mound. It was a man. Cole gasped staring in awe. The man had long black hair with a strait beard and pale skin. He stared with darting eyes at Cole. He looked scared.
"I-Is that you Hanzo?" Cole said shaking.
The man nodded slowly.
"You.....you changed." Cole said blushing.
Hanzo shivered a bit.
"It is rude to stare Cole." Hanzo said.
"I-I can't help it Hanzo, you're-wait a minute?! You could've turned into a human this whole time?!!!"
"I haven't changed my form in over 20 years." Hanzo said.
"I had to drag your fat wolf ass and you could have turned into a human at any time?!"
"Cole, just bring me inside. It's freezing!" Hanzo exclaimed still looking scared."
He shivered from under the blanket. Cole sighed and picked the other blanket up and pulled Hanzo through the door. Hanzo sat up and wrapped the blanket around his whole body. He stuck his broken leg out. The bandage was now too big for his leg. Cole stooped down and reached for it.
Hanzo flinched away darting his eyes back at Cole.
"Y'know, you can trust me Hanzo."
"I have trust issues. Especially when it comes to humans."
"You're leg ain't gonna heal unless you do." Cole said.
Hanzo paused for a while and looked down. He slowly let his leg out wincing in pain. Cole took the bandage and re-wrapped it around Hanzo's leg.
"Y-youre acting much calmer than most Cole."
"I've had a fair share of crazy experiences." Cole said. "There's not a lot that can surprise me much more."
"Well once I'm healed you won't have to-Gaaaah!"
"S-sorry!" Cole exclaimed moving his hand away.
"That hurt you idiot!"
"No need for name callin'."
Hanzo turned away.
"No wonder you're all on your own." Cole said under his breath.
"You're right."
"Huh?" Cole said looking up.
"You're right." Hanzo repeated. "I haven't had many interactions with others. I've grown bitter. I'm sorry if I come off as rude Cole. That wasn't my intent."
Cole stared at him surprised.
"Well, thanks....f-for apologizing...Hanzo." He said.
"No, thankyou for inviting me into your home." Hanzo said with remorse.
Cole stood back up. He finished fixing Hanzo's bandage.
"You'll be a lot comfier on the couch Hanzo." Cole scratched his head a bit. "Want me to carry you over?"
"Carry me?!" Hanzo exclaimed blushing hard. "Nonsense! I'll do it myself!"
He quickly tried to stand up being careful not to use his broken leg. Hanzo grunted as he grabbed the back of the couch to keep himself up. He tried to take a step but nearly forgot how to use human feet.
"Yknow it's ok to ask for help." Cole said. "I can lend a hand."
"I want to do it by myself." Hanzo said sternly.
He hopped with one foot slowly around the back and side of the couch still using the couch to support his weight. He finally made it all the way around and took a seat wrapping himself back up in the blanket.
"Ok Hanzo. I ain't askin' this time. Let me get you some clothes."
"That would be fine. I need something to cover up this stupid human skin that can't even keep you warm." Hanzo said staring at his body in disgust.
