Hanzo was fast asleep but he felt the warmth of Cole's chest and moved closer. Cole put his arm around Hanzo holding him tightly as they slept.
Morning came and Hanzo was the first awake. He rubbed his eyes awake and yawned loudly, but soon he started to feel around. He put his hand on Cole's chest and gasped realizing he had fallen asleep on him. He pushed away feeling embarrassed and it was enough to wake Cole up. He gasped and grunted a bit waking up, but took a sigh of relief when he just saw Hanzo. Soon the relief turned into guilt when he saw Hanzo blushing hard embarrassed that he slept on top of him.
"Hey Hanz?"
Hanzo tried not to look at him.
"I-I fell asleep on you."
"Y-yeah?"
"I-I'm sorry."
"Hanzo, it's....ok." Cole said trying to reassure him. "I.....enjoyed it."
Hanzo turned his head to face Cole.
"W-what do you mean? What....is this feeling?"
Cole took a deep breath and faced Hanzo on the couch. Then he put his hand towards him.
"Does it feel like there are butterflies in your stomach?" Cole asked.
Hanzo looked down and then back up at Cole.
"Y-yes. It does." Hanzo said putting his hand to his stomach.
"Do you feel hot?" Cole asked.
"Y-yes it feels very warm." Hanzo replied.
Cole looked deeply into Hanzo's eyes and put his hand to Hanzo's chest.
"Do you feel your heart might explode?" Cole asked.
Hanzo swallowed hard staring longingly at Cole. He nodded finally.
"Yeah. I think I know what's wrong." Cole said.
Hanzo took a deep breath. Cole slowly brought his hand up towards Hanzo's face. He gently placed it to his cheek. Both of them slowly leaned in. Their eyes gently closed as they got closer. Finally Cole's lips latched with Hanzo's and they kissed intimately. Cole used his hand to pull back Hanzo's hair. He gently pulled his hand through it so that it was on the back of Hanzo's head. Cole held him closely gently pressing kisses into him. Hanzo put one hand to Cole's chest and the other to his waist. They felt one another breathing softly through their noses but continued to kiss pationately. Hanzo leaned into Cole more pressing him to the arm of the couch. He was once again on top of him. Cole grabbed Hanzo by the hips holding him even tighter as they made out. Hanzo held Coles head with both hands practically feasting on his lips. He had never felt so passionately about someone. Soon Hanzo pulled away to catch his breath. He looked down at Cole longingly again. He smiled back up at him.
"Do ya feel better Hanz?"
Hanzo nodded.
"I've never had anyone like me like this."
Cole sat up a bit and looked at Hanzo sternly.
"Words can't describe how interesting I think you are Hanz. I can't describe to you how I feel. I just....like you."
Hanzo looked away from him feeling regretful.
"But Cole. I-I don't belong here."Cole gently grabbed Hanzo's arms.
"Hanzo.....please. Will you stay?""I......need to go meditate."
Hanzo got up from the couch and limped over to the kitchen then out the back door with a blanket around him. He sat out on the deck and felt the cool winter breeze. The storm was gone for now. You could even see some sunlight.
From inside Cole sat up on the couch. He wondered if telling Hanzo his feelings was the right thing to do. It seems like Hanzo feels the same way, but he's having second thoughts.
"Fuck." Cole said sternly.
He hammered his fist into the armrest of the couch frustrated with himself. Did he blindly fall for someone who just happened to show up or were these feelings real? Cole checked the clock. It was still too early to start drinking but he didn't care. Cole rushed to the kitchen and opened an overhead cabinet and grabbed his bottle of jack. He poured a hefty glass of the whiskey and took a large sip. He brought the bottle to the side table and then flopped onto the couch. He turned the TV on and scrolled through the channels. He took several sips until he no longer cared about what was on TV. Soon Hanzo came back inside after meditating and found Cole drunk laying lazily across the couch. He saw Hanzo walk in and drunkily pointed towards him.
"You don't gotta worry about how I feel anymore Hanz. I'm not gonna have anymore feelings for ya ok?"
"Cole that's not what I-"
"It's ok Hanz. I didn't mean to scare you off."
"Cole I didn't mean for you to- This isn't what I meant."
Hanzo walked to the couch.
"Cole I feel the same way you feel, but I'm worried about the company I used to keep. My kind. They want me dead Cole. I've been running for years. Stumbling here was the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I felt safe, but then I met you. I realized that I've put you at risk too."
Cole looked up and tried to focus his eyes.
"Who is after you Hanzo?"
"The Shimada Clan. You aren't the only one who has a dark past Cole. I betrayed my clan. Killed people. Now they hunt me. They'll kill anyone who gets in their way. That's why I must heal quickly and leave this place or you'll be killed." Hanzo started to get choked up. "I can't lose you Cole."
Cole set his glass down and slowly tried to stand up. He looked down at Hanzo and wrapped his arms around him tightly.
"I'd never let anyone hurt you." Cole whispered deeply.
